And I didn't see any Auburn highlights shown.
Is this real life? Mel Kiper even pointed out that our defense got the best of him

We got the best of him, but he flat played like shite as well... dude had long ago checked out by the time the bowl game kicked off.
Our defense didn't suck down the stretch... part of that was the the offenses we were playing (a&m, UGA, memphis), but it was still nice to see.

we gave up a whopping 205 yards to them and they had a good offense led by a first round quarterback. Thompson was a guy that we could have given a shot to at coordinator and never even looked his direction. The defense played with intensity the whole game and played well.

But in all seriousness, I think Thompson would have been a better DC than the guy we got.

Hiring a coach because of bowl performance always works. Especially when that offensive staff had left.
