Rhett Lashlee was Samford's OC in 2011 when they came to Auburn... The stat line from that day:

Points: 16
First Downs: 19
Total Yards: 338
Passing: 18-35, 189 yards
Rushing: 149 yards, 40 attempts
TOP: 29:46
Turnovers: 2

Granted, our defense in 2011 was pretty bad, but still pretty good numbers for a FCS-level team vs. an SEC team....

I thought about that the other day. I remember them moving the ball pretty effectively against us for such a small school team.

So did Florida Atlantic.

Just about everybody moved the ball with ease against Chizik's defenses.

By contrast, FAU had 308 yards of offense... and they're an FBS-level team, not FCS.

I was at the Samford game and I was scared. They were moving the ball like crazy.

We've made literally dozens of QBs look Heisman worthy during the Chizik era.

I remember the same. I think about midway through the third quarter we got a couple turnovers and depth started to catch up with them. But the game was a little too close for comfort at the half.
