I don't get it... his role during spring seemed to fit his skillset perfectly, and he was inline to get tailback carries behind Jovon.

Other than from a pure number of carries standpoint, it doesn't make a whole lotta sense to drop down to JSU.

He could also make a living doing the same in the NFL. A lot of teams showcase a running back that catches a lot of passes. Danny Woodhead, Shane Vareen, Dion Lewis, Knowshom Moreno, Darren Sproles and so forth.

You set the bar at 5x the number he had this year and 2.5x times the number he's had the past 25 games? Seems legit

This is how I feel. I don't care too much that he is leaving since KJ can pick up that spot, but I liked the idea of Roc in the slot, KJ in the backfield. Would be really hard to defend

Related to Roc Thomas.

NOT related to Sean White.

To speculate like crazy on my part, I can easily see how a five-star recruit can find this situation unpalatable. He wouldn't be the first.

For me it was obvious as hell that Roc's skills would be valuable in this offense but possibly, from his point of view, the clock is ticking for his college career. At a school such as Jack State he would definitely be a full-time rockstar at the RB position. It's also possible that there may be other factors involved that makes staying at Auburn a bad career move.

Fortunately Auburn is pretty strong at the position. I'm sure he's been given plenty of advice and I hope he has made the right decision. From everything I've seen he's a good guy and I hope the best for him.

He was definitely loaded with confidence during recruiting. Might have found it a tough pill to swallow. But who knows. Cowart has struggled with it.

I mean, we're a better, deeper team with him. He would've been useful in the slot. But, I'm just not too upset with this. We have Jovon and KJ and the bigger style RB should be getting some carries.

I'd also like to see what our FR WR class can do if we throw them in the fire. This just creates more opportunity for the young guys.

I'm mainly worried about Auburn's running back position in 2017. As long as Jovon Robinson can stay healthy and out of trouble, Auburn is fine in 2016.

Have you seen Pettway? That kid deserves a shot at the starting job next year. Talk about a fricking beast.
