Revisiting some past players and getting pissed...

at Chizik and Co. I was thinking of J. Rose, and the potential there and the legacy for AU and the Rose family. I know it is supposed that Rose was at fault, but what would a structured, hard-arse program have done for him. The thing is there are plenty of others that could have benefited from having their asses busted with hardcore workouts, et al.
Some that have gone elsewhere for whatever reasons...J. Rose, T. O'Reilly, C. Westerman, M. Dyer, A. Goodwin, D. Mosley, D. Aycock, T. Rollison...and so on.

We've had a ton of busts under the previous regime. Let's just hope we can move forward.

True. D. Mosley was nothing great and only at AU because of Dyer, but he was a 3* rated player that had some D1, maybe not SEC, potential.
It is really sad to think about the busts. I really hope CGM can be a coach that has the players focused on the things that will improve them as players and students. I don't want to hear the lip service about building young men. I want to see those kids busting their asses and making grades, and going on to get rich in the NFL.

Bust is a strong word to use for Kitchens, Goodwin, and Moseley.

I really would like to forget all the terrible player development we had under Chiz, but you guys just insist on not letting that happen.

Some of you are missing my point. It does not matter if they went on to have success or not. They were thought to have potential and when they came to AU their potential was not met. There are a lot of different reasons for this, and it happens elsewhere, but that doesn't make the frustration any less when we have such high hopes for them as recruits. Not stressing.
