No reason given. This sucks. Big things were expected of him.

I for one did not expect big things. He was just meh. Had decent size but wasn't overly athletic. He came about because we missed on every other wr target last cycle.

This sux. I was expecting awesome things out of him next year. Don't understand why go thru all spring and summer to leave the week of first game

Definitely sucks. I thought he had bright future especially being roommates with Sean White. Could have been a deadly pair in the future. Wonder why leave this close to the season

Maybe he found out about the Secret Conspiracy of Sean White's Height and was forced to leave?

Kid had great length, good speed and could high point the ball very well. Great hands from the little we saw. This sucks.

Is he possibly playing baseball? Had heard that mentioned.

Also, I hate to lose the depth... The kid showed promise

I think the spring game blew everybody's view of him out of proportion. I don't think he's as good as everybody makes him out to be.

It would be really weird to leave because of playing time at this point in the season

I think he would have been decent. Whenever I saw practice film, he stood out with his route running. Wish he would have stuck around.

You can either believe your eyes or go with your gut. Imo he passed thr eye test. Gut tells me he wiuld have been a steady optionat WR given the chance .

I hate this mentality. He caught more passes in the spring game that Trovon Reed did in 4 years and we kept his arse around

The guy showed promise and we should not just discount it because he left

For what ever the reason. Depth is a good thing and he had plenty of time to develop

Well the spring game means nothing so not sure what your point is there.

He showed good things in the spring game but I mean that's all we've ever seen from him. if he was THAT good, he would've seen at least some playing time by now.

Yes depth is a good thing. Never said it wasn't. I'd rather have him stay but it's not a big loss.

Meh Trovon is a bad example.. Never should've played WR. He balled out at DB last year

But as for the main topic, I hate to see a legacy leave the program but if he was going to leave then he picked the right time to do it. He's still got plenty of eligibility and he doesn't leave Auburn's depth chart in shambles. Good luck to him

RandySavage gonna be pissed in 5.4.3.2...

I disagree btw, I think it's a loss when you lose a talent like Burton. He may not have made it yet, but signs were there he was going to.

He got burnt on half the plays there were thrown at him.

But I get your point. Losing Burton is a loss. Either way

Possibly changing sports? He's supposed to be a really good baseball player.

He had the lowest completion percentage when targeted of any CB in the entire conference but spew whatever shite you'd like because you've done it with both him and an All-SEC 1st teamer in JJones
