So Gonzaga is trying to pull an Auburn vs Northwestern

20+ pt second half lead? NU cut it down to 5 at one point. Now at 6pts w 4m left

Barkley is a damn good analyst. Once he actually talks about the BBall, it's surprising he's as well versed on college teams considering it isn't his #1 job

Barkley is a smart dude all around. I enjoy his political commentary when he offers it as much as his sports commentary.

I wish he would keep his word and actually run for governor of Alabama one day. He's smart, logical, down to earth, has balls and a sense of humor about himself. He's everything that Alabama politicians aren't, and we could really use a leader like him.

But unfortunately for him the average voter in this state are old white, evangelical southern-baptists, and Bama fans and those people might not be able to see past that he's black, likes to drink, and is an all-time great Auburn athlete that still outspokenly loves us.

Which is why Roy Moore will win in a landslide when he runs

Michigan survives to see another day and they're the only team keeping my bracket alive.

I never realized just how intelligent Barkley is. He has some really sharp and insightful commentary on everything he's been an analyst for

Which is impressive given how broad his subject matter has been

Moving on.

The only positive thing I can say about my bracket is that I'm not last in the Pick'em.

Sorry Aucatfish

Congrats to South Carolina. That's huge for their basketball program. Frank Martin has done a great job their

Hope Pearl draws inspiration and hope from this win.

Pearls trajectory is crazy similar to how Martin's was at this point at USCjr

Martin at South Carolina:
-Year 1: 14-18 (4-14)
-Year 2: 14-20 (5-13)
-Year 3: 17-16 (6-12)
Total: 45-54 (15-39)

Pearl at AU:
-Year 1: 15-20 (4-14)
-Year 2: 11-20 (5-13)
-Year 3: 18-14 (7-11)
Total: 44-54 (16-38)

But for some reason tRant cuts Martin slack for having to rebuild from the ground up, but Pearl is already labeled a failure by the sheeple.

In Year 4 Martin went 25-9 (11-7) but due to a laughably weak OOC schedule they were only invited to the NIT

I can imagine if the roles were reversed and Auburn was the team that looked fundamentally sound tonight, they'd start giving Pearl the benefit of the doubt. It's up to our team to prove we're on the upward trend.

The Duke loss hurt my bracket pretty bad but I'm not complaining.

Obviously, I meant I don't recall Martin getting much shite after year 3 when he still wasn't winning. tRant is more willing to listen to a South Carolina fan tell them that their program was in bad shape and would take time to rebuild. But when it's Auburn they're just looking for any possible reason to hate.

People gave SCAR grief about Martin during years 1-3 but it didn't feel as bad because of the context.

-Martin wasn't as high profile as Bruce
-Martin wasn't hated like Bruce by opposing SEC fans
-Martin wasn't coming off a show cause
-SCAR fans didn't get all high and mightly like AU fans when they hired Martin, just excited about the long trek

It's because JR follows me around and tries to talk shite and always ends up being a dumbass.

Like him trying to pull the race card on someone who is a minority while he is white.... sorry "not totally white"

FWIW I agree with your post. No way Barkley would win for reasons you listed but damn it would be fun to follow. Charles Barkley vs any politician in a debate would be must see TV

I would play the YouTube video for my grandchildren in lieu of a bedtime story.
