Ask any average Bammer fan who the Auburn AD is and about 98% will give you the correct answer. (Jay Jacobs) Ask the average Auburn fan who the AD for Bammer is and most of them don't have a clue. Here at Auburn we have a AD that is always mugging for the camera, going around and trying to get on as many talks shows as possible and generally just trying to promote himself as much as possible. Meanwhile he is pretty much a puppet by the Good Ol Boy Network at Auburn.
The main reason many people don't know who the AD for Bammer is Nick Saban has TOTAL control of ALL things related and things that may affect his football program. He has to answer to no one. Kirby Smart tried this approach when he interviewed for the AU job and was shown the door. The PTB here at Auburn would never allow a coach to be successful without having their hands in the cookie jar. It's probably one of the reasons we have not had back to back 10 win seasons in God knows how long.
You have to hand it to Saban because he broke a Bryant Good O Boy Network that was in place many years. And you also have to hand it to Bammer for allowing him to do it.

The reason everybody knows who our AD is is because we constantly bitch about him.

Everyone knew Mal Moore I'd say Bill Battle is somewhat known despite being relatively new.
Anyhow, there is a controlling network at Alabama. I donate there so I know this for fact. They're just understandably low on influence in football right now
Bottom line is that it takes a Saban, Harbaugh, Meyer sort of coach that everyone knows, trusts, and understands to be a top tier commodity. Auburn will function with a crowded cookie jar until a coach like that comes along. I don't really see that happening soon with the current landscape.

Guy at work told me today (he's a bit of a conspiracy theorist) that the Alabaman State Goverment because most of them are Bammers do there best to hold AU down. He said that's why Auburn can't have a consistently top 10 team.

Maybe, just maybe instead of that Ron Sanders repeated garbage our issue is we suck at QB development...
Sometimes I think AU fans look for the most complicated answer to problems. It's pretty simple what's wrong with AU football. We don't have anyone that can stay healthy and throw the ball well

Pretty spot on. Auburn put all there eggs in the Jeremey Johnson basket and he turned out to be hot gargage. We missed out on some pretty good QB recruits because of him.
