He has been battling back issues for the last month or so and has had a few epidurals treatments. Insiders say he is still a go at this point but surgery hasn't been ruled out.

Any speculation on what a Kozan-less OL rotation might look like?

Maybe move Young to Guard and Miller starts at Tackle?

We also still have Diamond and Danzey. Luckily with this injury, depth does seem to be on our side if he can't go.

I think Young would move there and Miller would play RT. Depth is a good thing.

Miller playing tackle is not a good thing for us (or at least hasn't been in the past). Would much rather hope Diamond could step in and play tackle. Losing two of our best lineman on each side of the ball before practice starts is not a good way to start things off. Really hope this isn't true.

Yea, I'm getting really tired of this off-season. Getting unreal how many injuries we have had.

Miller played absolutely fine last year as a TSO. He played better than GRob did 1.5 years removed from HS.

I don't understand the hate he gets from some.

ETA: But yes, it would suck badly if Kozan is out. He played great last year as RFR.

He could slide in and play but it would be at guard instead of tackle. Mix and Dampeer are other options that would keep Young at RT.

I don't know why people have an obsession with Diamond at OT when he is an OG

Either Young moves inside Miller outside or we replace him with Mix, Diamond or Braden Smith

Wouldn't worry too much. Also I talked with Kozan in beginning of June and he seemed fine I though/didn't mention it.m How long has this been?

i think you get your best five out there, which would probaby mean sliding young inside... but i doubt AY has ever played guard before, so there will be some hiccups along the way.

back injuries for OLs can be a career killer... i'm sure everyone remembers marcus mcneil... hopefully this is something that can be fixed with surgery and isn't a longterm situation.

this would also really hurt our depth.

All I know is he struggled majorly in 2012 and our offense got much better when Avery Young took over last year.

I don't hate him and if he plays I hope he dominates, I just would rather not see him back at tackle if we have any other options.

Young played some guard in the spring but to the best of my knowledge has never played anything other than RT in games.

Diamond is not even close to Miller right now. Now that he's got experience and is stronger, Miller would be a solid option if we have to move Young inside
