Don't guess this is any surprise.

quote:

Wide reciever overload
Last year, in what could turn out to be the greatest wide receiver draft in history, five players at the position were taken in the first 32 picks. It was a sign of how much teams need to fill that spot, as well as a testament to the talent available. If Kiper's second mock is to be believed, teams continue to search for playmakers on the outside in droves. He's got seven wide receivers going in the first 32 picks, while Maxx Williams is a tight end projected to Baltimore at No. 26.

Anyone surprised Sammie isn't in the top 7? Would it have benefited him to stick around one more year?

I think Sammie's stock will rise after the combine. His size, speed, and strength will stand out.

Can't judge his decision until the combine. His numbers will be ridiculous and his stock will rise big time

Sammie Coates will likely be at least top 3 in 40 yard dash, vertical jump and broad jump. He might even do work on the bench press and surprise us there. He's strong as an ox.

I'm still pissed Corey Grant didn't get invited to the NFL Combine.

He might have won that Porsche.

Take Mel Kipers opinion with a grain of salt. Don't even listen to Todd McShay.

I was listening to SVP's radio show yesterday. (I think it was) They had some NFL guy on there. He said Mariotta not playing at the Senior Bowl is hurting his stock. He also said Nick moving to DB, on his own, at the Senior Bowl helped his stock. He said if Nick runs a good 40 time, at the combine, he could be a third or fourth rounder.

Not saying we will necessarily have players in the first, but Kiper is a complete bonehead. He was tripping over his stupid haircut while backpedalling last year when zero of his predictions came true.

God love Sammie, but he just doesn't have the hands to be a high draft choice..

Many nfl teams will see that as inadequate position coaching

I'll make a prediction that Sammie's combine stats won't be as high as expected. Sorry to be bursting the bubble.

We were all disappointed in his effort in 2014, and think this may carry over to the combine. We'll see though.

Kelvin Benjamin and Julio were both first rounders and had some serious drop issues in college. Like Brannigan said, some will assume that can be fixed with coaching. Sammie has the stuff you can't teach.
