Good for him. The AU beat has been having a lot of turnover lately. Maybe Crepea will be the next one to go.

I would hate covering the AU beat. Our fans are bipolar, our team production is bipolar and someone will hate you whether you are accurate or pandering. We aren't a big enough market either to really do something.
Rig, we should start a basketball beat that does just AU Hoops. It would be niche, but we could make it legit. You could provide real knowledge, I could run stats/regressions for stat gurus and E can fact check everyone.
ETA: Rocky can write the articles. He would draw crowds

If I ever got the time and finally able to have a work schedule that wasn't 8-7, I would be able to come up with some legit basketball statistics for AU.
I'm talking about statistical forecasting/regssion like FiveThirtyEight. Not some dumb irrelevant stat that ESPN throws out that gives no insight on future or past performance.

Time is the biggest deterrent. I've been toying with the idea of taking some kinda writing course so that I could test the blog/online writing waters but just haven't committed to it.

I don't know anything about basketball...but I like this idea of increasing the coverage of hoops. If next season is outstanding, things will begin to change.
