take it from November 2nd Lanier

Never listen to Drunk Lanier. And We are not weak anywhere. Except QB. Running back is good, WR and offensive line.

But if you think we can put the game in Sean Whites hands against a good team and ask him to win it for us, you are not very good at football watching

And with that, I am out. I have never liked this offense with Sean, never will and nothing you or anyone here can say will change my opinion. So its best to just agree to disagree. No need to jangalang/Weagle this thread

Lets just hope we can beat OU with White at the controls.

What is so different about Stidham and white?

We dont know that at this point but we do know how we will do with Sean. 8-4, 7-5

Hopefully, he is more mobile and can throw the deep ball better. But at this point, we need to make changes at QB if we want to do better than we did this year

Height/Weight/Speed...raw ability.

Other than that, they are exactly the same.

I said the same thing yesterday and got told I was jacking off Sean and not being objective, even though I was the only one using stats to back up my statements... kind of like that exchange I was just having with Lanier

We're 7-1 with Sean White as starter and 1-3 without him.

If Sean White starts the full season we win 10 games minimum and go into the Iron Bowl playing for a berth in the SECCG and CFP

And bro, I'm not arguing FOR Sean White here. I'm arguing against irrational unfounded dumbassery

How can we be 8-4 with Sean White when he only played in 9.5 games?

I saw who my players were and wasn't impressed so I was going to ignore it. I decided to check it out and I was 2-1 or 3-1 and thought I would keep track a little more.

Well that's misleading. Didn't Sean White start the Georgia game and the TAM game? I realize that SW was hurt for the Georgia game, but it still counts as a loss and SW was supposedly less than upfront about his injury that game.
Against TAM, SW had a heckuva completion percentage but had 18 completions for only 126 yards before he was pulled. I reckon he started that game, too.

Sean started Clemson/UGA and did not start Vanderbilt

Sean - 6-3
JF3/JJ- 2-1

Sean got screwed by Gus vs Clemson but it still is a start. Same with UGA and being injured

JF3 started Vandy game so you can't give SW "Starters W credit"

You're right, I should've fact checked.

I honestly forgot he started against UGA. Probably because he basically played without his throwing shoulder and really shouldn't have even dressed out. Gus said he hadn't even taken a snap in practice in 2 weeks at that point. What kind of coach puts his QB in that situation?

I also thought JJ took the first snap against Clemson, but it was White that took the first series. Even though he took the first snap, he wasn't named the "official" starter and wasn't given the reigns until after that game.
He definitely got fricked over in that game, and it's kind of hard to say he was a true starter when he was one of 3 QB'S rotating in and out.

I got the details wrong, but the point still stands that when he was healthy and the coaches actually let him do his thing, White moved the ball and won games for us.

For the record I also believe that if White had officially been the started from day 1 and was given a chance to get comfortable against Clemson that the aTm game would've turned out differently and Gus would've called the plays a little less retarded.

Good catch, thanks for the correction

Gus said after that game that Sean hadn't taken a snap in practice in 2 weeks before the UGA game, so clearly the coaches knew something.

See my above post for my reply to the rest.
I'm glad yall caught my mistakes, I wouldn't want to spread false information. By that point I was watching the basketball game and going off memory instead of checking myself like I was earlier in the thread. My apologies

Primary difference, to me, is his ability to push the ball down the field w/o an elongated wind up. Has a very easy throwing motion that is really compact and quick. That is essentially a function of having more arm strength than White.

We need to make changes to our offense, but it has been that way for two years now and it seems clear Gus isn't going to do that.

Getting a decent QB on our team would be a start.

Hmmm.. How many snaps did White take during Clemson? Was he injured against UGA? What about Bama?
