It’s no fun to give up

I was angry and disappointed with the loss as anyone on this board. However, there is no fun in whining about it and giving up.
We still control our SEC destiny. Granted, it is hard to see that happening after the collapse on Sat. This team has the talent to win. It definitely needs a few breaks and better execution. The Sat loss was not on this team as much as it was on the conservative play calling. If our coaches would have stayed aggressive this would have been an easier game. Credit a very poor LSU team for playing harder and coaching better (sadly).
That being said, I look forward to this run towards the end and hope Gus and the Team can make my Saturday’s better. I look forward to next Saturday’s pregame as we are still marching towards and SEC and possible National title. If we lose again....then I’ll whine.

If LSU wins out, they go to ATL as the SEC West Champ regardless of what we do.

You know it has been a rough tenure for Jay Jacobs when he has 1532 post on the AU Sports Board.

Not a fan of Jacobs. He needs to go, yesterday

But the fact remains, as of this moment we don't control our destiny. We have to have help, specifically someone beating LSU.
Because we couldn't.

And so it begins - the great posibarnering of this week.
Then we’ll torch Arkansas by 40 and Stidham will complete 10 straight passes over the middle. Pettway will have a few breakout runs. And more Auburn fans will start to be optimistic. About the players of course. After all, they are Auburn Men and deserve our support no matter how terrible our coach is.
Then we’ll go to College Station and win a tough game against the Aggies. Most Auburn fans will talk about how resilient and talented the team is. Someone will post the stats about how improved the offense is since the LSU game. The talking heads on ESPN will lay out the scenarios and we’ll all think, “what if?”
Then that night Bama will trounce LSU and college game day final will talk about the SECCG being between Alabama and Georgia. One of them will say, “hang on a second. Not so fast! Auburn is sneaking up on both of them.”
We’ll then realize we get them both at home. Highlights of the 2013 games will be shown. They’ll still be plenty of “fire Gus!” posts around here, but Stubhub will reveal what’s really going on as ticket prices crawl up to $250 a ticket for the Georgia game.
Then Georgia will come to town with Gary and Brad in tow.
And we’ll score a touchdown or two in the first quarter.
And lose 31-14 to Georgia while being completely dominated in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters.
They’ll be some excuse. KJ and Pettway have the flu. Stidham isn’t a running QB and Gus needs a running QB. Gus should just play Malik against Bama. What does he have to lose? Get ready for next year and then he’ll have a running QB. And the Auburn hype with Gus recycles. Again.
And again.
And again.
And again.
I’m not okay.
Forever.
Fooorrrrrever.

Best case 8 wins, worst case 6 wins.
With Gus there will be nothing more.

So true. So predictable you can set your watch to it. Gus gonna Gus.

Gus has the most talented 8 win team every year, so it's not fun to watch them underachieve every year because of a inept coach.

I'm not donating shite until Jacobs is gone. How many more things can he frick up without being fired? There's an issue with nearly every major sport at Auburn. How much money has Jacobs squandered? Other than Texas A&M, I can't think of school who has spent more and won less across the board. And Gus isn't head coach material.

This is the best way to get a change made, get in their pockets enough and Jay Jacobs will be gone.

It was a joke. Is there no sense of humor left on this board?

Lets face it. We are little brother, and Gus plays that card well. We play our best when expectations are low and nobody expects us to do anything. Then, when we step into the limelight, we trip all over ourselves.

I have given up on Gus, 100%. Nothing can bring me back.
I will go to the games and support the players who sacrifice so much to play the sport they love.
Nothing worse than playing for a bad coach.
