Screw the sulking. Been there done that. We wait all offseason for this time of year. A couple losses ain't gonna keep me from enjoying watching my auburn tigers play! frick everyone else. Sean is gonna tear it up today and we're gonna be on track for a 8-4, maybe 9-3 season. Big deal. After all it's just a game. Very few things I enjoy more in life than watching auburn run out of that tunnel every Saturday in the fall. I've got the mimosas flowing. Got a Boston butt in the oven and I'm ready for week 5 (frick...already?!). So WAR DAMN EAGLE y'all. Enjoy it today

I wish I shared your passion and didn't have the melancholy mood that has overtaken me

Just had to double down on the stupidity didn't you?
In all seriousness, an Auburn team that wins 8 or more a year and is COMPETITIVE in every game is my bench mark. Anything above that and I'm happy.

I was supposed to be in Athens but my buddy bitched out and didn't wanna sit in rain so he sold our tickets for 400$ a piece to some dumbass. He also gave me the 400 for my ticket
Low and slow in the oven though and it'll be ready around 6-7.

please if you can get a smoker its not that much work, use hickory or my favorite pecan about 6 chunks. Cook @225 overnight (friday) should be done about lunch (sat). Pull, fresh bun, sauce, slaw, and beer. Never let a hog die in vein.

I dont have a smoker, but have been very successful ssmoking boston butt on my grill using apple or pecan wood chunks and alternate low heat.
Good eating. A smoker puts a better smoke ring on the meat, but the quality of taste the way I do it tastes pretty damn good.

yeah anything but the oven or worse crock pot. I got to have that good bark and smoke ring

You guys are rookies if you can't cook a Butt in the oven. When done properly, the only difference is the smoke flavor (which, personally, I can do without).
Anyway, WAR DAMN SNOWBOARD CAM!

I might have bought crockpot and some liquid smoke.....
Posted on 10/3/15 at 10:52 am to Aubie Spr96
Step 1: marinate overnight with your mustard base and seasoning +brown sugar
Step 2: put on a drip pan and cover whole butt in foil with a layer of parchment paper in between
Step 3: low and slow, 225 for an hour each pound
Step 4: increase temp to 350 and take off foil, cook until bark has fully developed
No chance in hell you'd be disappointed. You could even add liquid smoke to the bbq you make from the dripping or in the marinade itself.

I was hoping to see a lot of work in the passing game today, but with weather being like it is Gus will probably keep it on the ground as much as possible. I hope I'm wrong though.
