We must now root for tGumps to knock off Miss St. We need two losses by grinders to go to atl. Remnants of the Tub years when we need lsu to lose so we could go to Atlanta. Only we will not have an inexplicable let down game.

Meh. We run the table, we are in regardless. If MSU runs the table too, it just makes our L better.

I dont think MSU loses twice. I'm just worried about us and don't care about Bama beating them, which is unlikely anyway.

We win out, we are in the playoffs and that is what matters most.

Might get another shot at MSU away from the cowbells and Ritter and co.

Perfect scenario would be to play FSU and MSU again in the playoffs.

I don't think the committee will put 2 sec teams in.

State can definitely lose twice... They've got two huge road games left ... Bama and OM.

Unless State plays an awful game, I don't see them losing to Bama. Bama just isn't that good this year.

And we don't necessarily need them to lose 2 games. We can beat Ole Miss and have Ole Miss beat MSU. Then it's a three way tiebreaker

Let's wait and see how bama plays in Tuscaloosa before we completely disregard them. They've looked like shite the last two weeks away from home, but could've easily won in Oxford.

Their front is legit and will limit states running game better than we could IMO.

If we run the table, we will be in - SEC champs or not. I doubt we run the table, so it probably doesn't matter.

That's been my opinion on them all season not just based off the last few games. They aren't going to be that good this year. Probably 9 wins.

I'm more concerned about facing Ole Miss. if we dont figure some things out we could just as easily have 3 losses by seasons end.

Without looking it up, what is the 3 way tie breaker?

If ole miss beats State, we beat Ole miss and all 3 teams have 1 loss we should be the higher ranked and get in that way.

Higher ranked in what?

Also if one loss ole miss knocks off the #1 team in the country the last weekend of the year, no way we are ranked higher than them.

We need MSU to stay number 1, then we have the highest possible loss and with our schedule should be the reason we make the playoffs as the best 1 loss team. Probable a rematch with state.

Never, ever, for any reason pull for Alabama. Never.

If we rematch with State on a neutral field, we would win. Not only because we can be the better team, but also because of the revenge factor.
