The way our D line got physically dominated by Vandy of all people seems to say he is. Why is our fanbase in love with Yoxall when he really hasn't proved much lately. Our teams haven't been physical at all.

Without a doubt.... We need to be on the same growth hormone, diet, etc. that Alabama is on... They get them big and grow them bigger...

We get them big and they stay that way

Two years ago you would've found me standing up for the guy..

The same can't be said today. The S&C program at Auburn looks like its behind the times. Our players are getting pushed off the ball and the lack of physicality in our game is apparent.

Yox needs to find a new home.

No, he has years of acoladtes in his past. I dont he just forgot what he is doing.

Ted Roofs crap technique is the problem. It will take time to get rid of, just it will take time to implement at PSU.

When I see 10-15 starters/backups working out at gold's gym during the fall I highly second guess the strength coach

Yeah, I don't know. Yoxall is believed to be one of the best in the business, and he has a track record to prove it, but it doesn't look like our players are getting any bigger over the course of four years. The lack of strength from our DTs is the most shocking thing to me. Since Fairley and Blanc left, our DTs have been non-existent. They constantly get blown off the ball, and that's a recipe for disaster for an SEC defense (and really any defense).

It's hard to knock the guy because of his what he's accomplished, but it does look like we're regressed in the last couple of years.

Are you kidding me? Have you seen the transformation of Tre Mason from last year to this year?

S&C is all about the motivation the players have. You can't MAKE SOMEONE work out.

frick!!!!!

I hate this crap. The same guy was the S&C trainer under Tubbs and had (2) undefeated teams on his program. Did yall think we were weak then? Did you feel like we ever got pushed around then? Hell no you didn't!

Toughness and tenacity comes from the top down. It's an attitude. This team doesn't have it. Changing the S&C coach isn't the answer. The guy is universally respected and has an excellent resume.

With that said, if we get a new AD and they hire a new head coach and that guy wants to make a change, then I'm all for it. The problem with this team isn't the S&C coach. It's Chiz. PERIOD.

Not overrated, just hasn't been doing a good job latley. I think the times have past him. We need someone new with new fire. We are small and weak. It's obvious. We're going to look like Oregon when we play Bama. It's embarassing really.

Just to gauge your knowledgeability in S&C, do you know the difference between a Hang Clean and a Clean and Press?

I think his methods may not be as efficient as others these days. Is he very good? Yes.

Are there better? Absolutely.

If we're so small and weak, tell my why our secondary is pretty much the heaviest in the league. Those guys have gotten noticeably bigger. Darren Bates, while small in stature, is about as big as he can get without limiting his mobility. Our DT's and DE's are big and strong. The problem is their play on the field. Lemonier and Ford have transformed themselves over the last three years.

When I see Angelo Blackson go from a three point stance to standing straight up almost immediately on about half the plays, I usually think something other than.....What the hell is Yox doing?

We do look small thought for some reason. Maybe its just the way we play that makes us look small. No power at all.

I just like to gauge people on whether they even have the knowledge about how good a S&C coach is. If they can't tell me the basic tenets of Olympic lifting, they should probably not speak about a subject they know nothing about. Looking big and being strong are not always synonymous.
