And even when we DO finally make a hire, there's gonna be a shitload of menstruating whiners no matter who it is.

Its just the Auburn way.

two of our top three candidates are Jimbo Fisher and Gus Malzahn?

I still don't see what people's deal with Jimbo is.

Guy is 30-10 as a head coach and just won his conference. Yeah, I know it's the ACC and yeah, I know they haven't played to their potential, but that was already happening at FSU before he took over.

He's not the best, but don't equate him with a Malzahn hire.

If it's Petrino, we'll have a meltdown.
If it's not Petrino, we'll have a meltdown.
If it's not Petrino but is Patterson or Peterson, we'll have a smaller meltdown.

You can't please everybody. If we hired Jim Harbaugh, I'm sure someone would complain.

I'm hearing that they are throwing a lot of money at Jimbo and if he doesn't take it then Petrino is the back up plan

Sorry, but that's speculation with someone emotionally invested behind it. My guess a week ago was that Petrino is the fall back because he's been lobbying for the job and if we miss out on Patterson and Jimbo, it's Petrino. Doesn't take an insider to compute that one.

Yeah, don't have to be an "insider" to know we aren't going for Petrino first. He is definitely a fall back plan.

He should only be a fall black plan if we miss on Petersen or Patterson.

Jimbo supposedly being ahead of Petrino in the pecking order is comical.

Agree. My pecking order is:

1. Petrino
2. Patterson

3. Jimbo

4. Others

The two teams who do less with the most talent is FSU and Texas. I do not want Jimbo.

If it is Petrino then we better get used to losing to Bama every year and getting blew out by any team with a defense just like he did at Arky.

Good news from footballscoop.com:

TCU: Hearing further confirmation to what we told you weeks ago, Gary Patterson isn't looking to leave TCU. Wouldn't surprise us to see an announcement of an extension to stay at TCU looooong term.

Go back and look. The fact he couldnt beat Saban isnt going to change just because you really want him to come to Auburn.
