That's been my point. It's cost us EVERY big game. We will never get over handing that Natty to Jimbo and Jameis.

The monster DT on the FSU DL and our lack of pass rush cost us the NC game

No, the fact that FSU had superior athletes at practically every position is what cost us the NC game.

We played way above our heads all year long, and have nothing to be ashamed of for falling :13 seconds short against a team that dominated every single other opponent they faced.

Special teams and one missed tackle cost us the title.

Ellis Johnson cost us the NC, not Gus

I would say Special Teams cost us that game with FSU.

Yeah, the fake punt, missed field goals, and missed tackle on the kickoff. But, it wouldn't have came to that without some God awful defense.

Timmy Jernigan and Mario Edwards. They had some beasts up front.

Florida State would’ve beaten any SEC team that year.

I completely disagree. Gus didn't stay aggressive enough. He started calling a game not to lose in the 2nd half.

Actually, FSU's D being gassed at the end is what inadvertently cost us the game. Jernigan & others were huffing oxygen on the sidelines for most of the 4th quarter. Someone grabs Tre Mason's shoelaces, and Auburn would've scored a few plays later, leaving no time for FSU to score again. Obviously our D was gassed too lol, which is why I was actually gripping over Mason scoring so easily...

Timmy Jernigan did not win that game. Was he disruptive? Yes. Not to the point where he controlled the game. We gave that game away. God. I hate talking about it. Speaking of giving the game away, technically Marshall lost it the first drive. He missed a WIDE open Ricardo for an easy TD. I hate talking about the FSU game. Nothing but painful memories & what ifs

Mason scored too soon. Still amazed we made it that far. The previous year we went 0-8 and 3-9 which was the worse year since pre Shug.

When you score 31 pts on offense you should win. Offense could have done more but absolutely that loss was on defense and special teams. A KR for a TD, missed FG and D's inability to get a crucial stop late.

Now I am going to return to believing the 2013 season ended in Atlanta

Parkey kicks it through the back of the end zone, like he did all year, we win.

Or coverage team doesn't pull a hamstring, we win.

Or punt team covers the fake, we win.

Or refs call holds in the 4th qtr, we win.

We didn't win. It sucks, but it isn't any one player's or coach's fault.

FSU was stout, people were predicting we would get blown out. I'm still bitter.

Dude are you kidding me if not for our special teams our D would have held one of the more balanced college offenses of the BCS era to 20 points
