With rookie minicamps completed, the Raiders must now decide between them which they want to keep. Among those are tryout players, of whom the team does not release the names. It seems one of those tryout players was former Auburn National Championship MVP, Michael Dyer, who has now reportedly been signed by the Raiders according to Richard Davenport of the Arkansas Democrat Gazette.

Good for him, I hope he makes the team

Is there a good source that lists all rookie mini camp news? Saw on Twitter (from al.com) where Blake Sims didn't make Green Bay. Was hoping al.com would have info on AU players, but didn't see any.

Good for Dyer, on a side note I figured Oakland would be the only team dumb enough to sign Jameis.

What Blake did not make it? Just this weekend Al.com had this to say.
Ex-Alabama QB Blake Sims receiving praise during tryout with Packers

Blake Sims was one of two quarterbacks leading the Green Bay
Sims' audition began Friday and ended Saturday.
Unselected during last week's NFL draft and without a contract offer to join a team as an undrafted free agent, Sims accepted an invitation to attend Green Bay's two-day rookie minicamp on a tryout basis.
He was one of 25 tryout players competing for two open roster spots on the Packers' 90-man roster.
Sims shared reps at quarterback with fifth-round pick Brett Hundley.
"Blake did some nice things today," Packers coach Mike McCarthy told reporters in Wisconsin Saturday. "He made some good throws. Definitely an understanding from Day One to Day Two, he increased there. He's instinctive. Has a bounce in his step. I thought he did some nice things today."
Sims threw for 3,487 yards with 28 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions as a senior at Alabama last season in leading the Tide to a 12-2 record, an SEC championship and a berth in the College Football Playoff semifinals.
Sims previously served as the backup to AJ McCarron.
A lack of ideal size for the quarterback position was likely among the primary factors that led to the 5-foot-11, 218-pound Sims going undrafted and unsigned as an undrafted free agent.
A former running back, Sims worked out for teams at both quarterback and running back during the buildup to the draft.
The Packers could have interest in Sims at a position aside from quarterback, McCarthy acknowledged.
"That's something that's been thrown around," McCarthy said. "The evaluation process doesn't end today. But it's nice to have video, and we did some post-practice work with

He made it past rookie minicamp, he didn't make the roster. He's got a long way to go before he suits up

It is not a talent issue. If Dyer can keep it on the road, the Raiders would have a talented back. They have the most to gain.

Dyer should be a pretty good pro. If he can stay on the field and not get too caught up in that thug life. I fear the worst there with him and money.
Oakland aint a nice place.

Wish him nothing but the best. Enjoyed seeing him get some reps for UL. He can succeed in the NFL if he makes the roster

I don't think anyone saw Blake Sims being an NFL QB except delusional Alabama fans. I don't know how to post gifs but the one where he's doing the WWE wrestling gesture (I think the LSU game) to the crowd will show how intellectually stimulating he is as a person.

Is Emory Blake still in the NFL?

Dyer doesn't seem to have connections to Oakland so he will get in trouble only if he seeks it out.
It's why all these guys don't get in trouble till they visit home #FairleyTheory

I hope he makes it, I've always rooted for him.
Hopefully his time buried on Louisville's depth chart has helped him to grow up. Seems like his issues have always stemmed from a big ego. He went from the big man on campus in small town Arkansas in HS, to breaking Bo's freshman rushing record and BCSNCG MVP as a true freshman, big man on an SEC campus in 2011. Even when he got kicked off Auburn he just went back to Arkansas State to be the hometown hero and hang with his HS friends. His time at Louisville is the first time in his football career he wasn't a big shot superstar so hopefully that experience has helped bring him down to earth and be more humble.
