That's when you clip the lure so that you can pull it through

We tried. Hook is out. To the bar.

That would not have been a easy one to get out. If only one hook was in, it would not have been as bad.

Tough break but you should never try to get one out without taking the hook off the lure first. You can maneuver the barbs better with no weight on them

Oh no, i definitely got hooked. Posted this in hopes of starting an IM thread while I was waiting in the hospital... Got in and out way faster than s anticipated.

I was catching specks ever cast, and it slowed down a little. Told myself if I didnt get a bite that cast I was going home.... Cast, boom, fish in the yak. Had my feet over the side, grabbed the fiah. started bringing my feet in, speck flopped, bounced off the yak and buried the back treble in my heel. Me on one hook, fish on the other.

I have pulled so many out its not even funny anymore. I hate getting hooked

You are most likely to get hooked trying to get a fish off. No doubt.

That is not what the Outdoor Board means when they ask for

"A foot in the fish picture."

I did something similar to my thumb last summer. I don't shoot docks for crappie anymore.

Well, don't leave us hanging...what did it weigh? And was it a good top water bite?
