Yes or no? And if he does go, who do we get in his place?

Muschamp will make $1.7 million at Auburn next season. How much more would LSU need to offer to move after one season? Would a $150,000 be enough? Can the poors at LSU afford $1.85 M for a DC?

They want Jimbo as HC and Champ as DC.

I can't see that happening unless Champ knows he's maxed out the potential of our defense and realizes Gus is in an offensive comma

So I guess since Gus is in an "offensive comma", it is just a pause.

Whereas if Gus were in an "offensive coma", then we would have no chance Saturday.

LSU will go with a modern Offensive mind...they believe they will have good D just based on Louisiana kids signing.

I am doubting that Jimbo leaves the comfy ACC where he is recruiting at a top 5 level & basically has to win 2 tough games a year to go undefeated for LSU where he would have to face Bama, AU, A&M & UF every season all who recruit at a top 10 level and have the expectation that if he doesn't beat them consistently he is gone.

As for Muschamp, he wants to be a HC. I don't seem him moving laterally unless he thinks he can put together a better defense next season with them than AU's & that will help him land a HC gig.

I am hopeful he stays one more season before bolting for a HC job. Would be curious to see if we would hire Robinson as DC or go get a more proven guy.

I don't think so, UGA, SCAR or actually BAMA more likely if he goes to be a DC. He could go to the first 2 if Smart is hired by either. If Smart leaves UA then Saban would offer enough to get him as DC. LSU can't afford to pay more than us with all the buyouts they are going to pay.

BTW, I don't know why they want Jimbo his offense has sucked at FSU except when Jameis was there.

LSU would be a bunch of idiots to take 'champ right now, and you know it.

Why would it be idiotic for Muschamp to go to LSU?

Just because the comma isn't very politically correct.

There are some LSU diehards that are saying Jimbo to LSU is a done deal and will be announced Sunday or Monday

LSU is better off holding on to Les. If GM's buyout was that much I'd be pissed if we shelled out $15,000,000 instead of just letting his contract run out. So be it we're mediocre to good at football.

Muschamp is worried about Gus's future at AU, LSU seems to think he would leave for stability at LSU. Lol
