I think everyone is underestimating the Impact of Pettway

Or at least I hope. KJ, Kam Martin, etc, are all good backs, but just about every SEC team has at least a good back. I think A healthy Pettway is just as key to the offense as Stidham is. He is going to make a lot of what are usually second and eight's, second and fives. I'm hoping the problems from last weeks offensive performance is due to missing KP more than anything. That's why I hold off on judgement until Sat night.

The Pettway who was so laser-focused on this season, his future, and his family's future that he got suspended (puff-puff-give) for the first game?

That Pettway?

In a situation that KJ gets 3 yards, Pettway will get 5. That's the important difference, and helps us out a lot schematically.

Clemson's DLine is damn tough, but honestly I wasn't that impressed with their penetration/push on Kent State. We'll definitely see some more nuanced looks from Venables though. Our OLine is, obviously, going to be the key here for both Stidham and Pettway to meet their potentials.

Yes that Pettway. Do you think any of that changes how good he is?

And yes he does change things from the two backs we had for Ga Southern. People forget how things changed when we made the switch to Pettway.

I'm ready for him to get back. And I'm ready to see Barrett get more touches. He looked good.

Indeed.

Too bad we can't depend on him from week to week. That would have been nice.

Ezekiel Elliott admitted he did a ton of shite at tOSU and that worked out. I'm picking up what you're putting down but hey, at least he'll be as fresh as ever for this game.

bad example.

Ol dude has nuked his pro teams ability to perform because he couldn't handle himself off the field.

I'm excited about Pettway's return, but we still have a relatively small sample size, particularly against good teams.

Not here to argue his innocence, but something about that case seems off. Really off.

ETA: Whatever the case, Pettway being back should be very useful. Spread em out and pound him inside or throw it if they go single coverage outside.

A guy I work with whose daughter is a freshman says Pettway has been walking around in a boot all week. Haven't seen anything anywhere on it, and don't know if he's confused or not. TIFWIW.

In my experience the "coworker's kid saw _____ in a boot" rumor turns out to be legit about half the time. But I think the rumors would have started up earlier if it was true for Pettway.

Wouldn't matter. We have recruited some great backs. We will be fine

I think it would matter. Pettway is going to wreck some fools this year. I don't believe the boot thing is true.

Pettway will play, I do not believe he is 100%. He has worn a boot this week. Ankle sprain is what I heard. Tape him and see how it goes.
