I feel for him. I can't imagine what it would feel like to be raised as Auburn's next great QB only to fail all those people

I can't believe how good he looked against Arkansas and how bad he looks now. No player development at all. Thanks to Gene Chizik for the great recruiting classes that led to 2013.

I said it earlier. Most of his issues are mental. But he is so messed up, he just can't get out of his own way. I can only imagine what he feels like right now.

But, it comes with the job. Unfortunately, it does not always go as scripted. He can either dig deep and make adjustments or fall flat on his face

Is up to him

Yeah man I mean at the first of the game Jason Smith was wide open down the middle and the throw was there yet he pulls it down quick only to derp and lose us 18 yards.

I don't feel for him at all. He has a scholarship. He's at a major program and not getting it done.

I'm typically not the type to suggest a new QB after a bad game, however JJ is fundamentally flawed for this league. And if our back ups are much worse than him, then who are Auburns scouts and recruiting director? And my god Cowart, get your arse in the game.

At the end of the day he's human and has feelings like all of us. In that regard I feel bad for him.

As far as his job at QB, sure he's terrible. We know that.

Poor soul on scholarship playing football. Never understood this attitude.

I don't get GM's line of thinking. The problem is staring him right in the face and for whatever reason he refuses to see it. He can call different plays, play different personnel but the one thing he refuses to change is the qb. Sometimes you need to sit a guy just so he can get his head right. Maybe JJ needs the reality check that comes with being yanked. I know this much, trying to let him work through it is not only killing his confidence, but it's affecting the confidence of everyone on offense. Can you imagine how frustrating it is for guys to lose faith that their qb is even going to get them the ball? What good does it do to bust their arse to get open and then JJ one hops it or throws it over their head. JJ may be an all world talent, but he's lost his mojo. Gus needs to sit him down for the sake of the team.

He's a head case, a nervous guy, just like Frazier. You can't coach that out of a QB. It's no fault of his own, but at this point Gus has to recognize that. People harp on "how terrible White must be", but I'm sure Gus is going to push his job security limits to satisfy his pride.

JJ is his baby.

Fixing the offense isn't rocket science. It's simply a matter of getting a guy in there that will get the ball to the playmakers and open up the rest of the offense. Right now it's stuck in park because JJ can't get it in gear. One guy can't be more important than the whole team. You can't hold others accountable for their play and not hold JJ to the same standard.

Pretty much. No one knows who Duke Williams is this year. Last year he was discussed as a high NFL pick.

I think the reason we are getting Woody, and looking at a JUCO is because we don't have a QB. If he thought White was so much better, he would play.

Think of it this way. JJ has more picks that Duke has catches.

Right, teams don't take 1-2 qbs a year.

WTH..

We've actually had QBs who looked totally lost when they first took over the starting gig, who later came back and became solid performers. For example, both Ben Leard in '98 and Chris Todd in '08 were horrendous as #1s, got benched, then took the job back over and excelled.

Unfortunately, in both cases it was the following season, and under entirely new coaching staffs.
