Will Bobby Petrino finally be our coach? That buyout is now manageable, and will be looking to bounce since his AD is gone. Would automatically be the #2 coach in the SEC.

ETA:

He is 56. That 55-65 range seems to be when coaches are at peak. He could be our Saban.

Yeah that would improve our national reputation..
Petrino has never, ever, ever, won a championship...
so yeah if that works for you, go for it.
I am tired of scumbag AU athletics disparaging Auburn's name, but hey -- I'm an old fart

There is no indication he is a dirty coach. He had sex. So what.

"Dirty," maybe not, but certainly unsavory...

Was apparently ready to leave Louisville for us mid-season 2003 after a clandestine meeting.

Left the Falcons via memo to the team after lying to Arthur Blank's face the day before (granted, he was brought in to develop Michael Vick and that dried up real quick).

Had his mistress hired at Arkie (actually that is direct isn't it).

What the f that he's ever done makes you think he's our Saban? He seems to be going downhill. Can't win in the ACC with Lamar Jackson

He's washed up and he'll never coach at Auburn again. Deal with it

Perrin, Stoops, and Richt after coaches I wouldn't get near.

All three are washed up with little left in the tank in the way of success.

Sho nuff-- I would have loved to have Jurich as AD at one point, -- now not sure
I think Petino has pics of him in that Italian restaurant with alfredo sauce on his privates or something -- how the frick does Petino even last this long?
Got to give Jurich his due tho -- he built UL into a brand

We can only hope.

If he retained Kevin Steele, frick, Auburn would be a top 3 SEC team and a top 10 team in CFB every year.

I still can't grasp how anyone believes BP is better than Gus.

I believe there's a 0% chance because of his track record and the fact we are under two investigations involving coaches and students.

I have zero issue with this. Employers frick over employees everyday. When an employee does it, it is an issue.

That is the issue. Hard to earn trust back after this.

At this point, I don't want him. His team is awful at Lousiville outside of Jackson. His OL is worse than our. And I'm. Not sure if he still flip flops the tackles (very outdated.) He seems to have regressed or he can't recruit.

Bobby Petrino
112-44 record
5-5 in bowl games
4 ten win seasons
Took Arkansas and Louisville to their first BCS bowls
Actually a good offensive coach that develops QBs
Auburn man (wink, wink)

Gus Malzahn
47-22 record
1-3 in bowl games
8-5 coach outside of 1 season
Has man tits
Offensive minded coach who has a struggling offense and no QB development from HS level

Petrino is overrated. He's a good offensive coach but he's not elite like some think. Subpar recruiter whose UL team has lost to any team with a pulse. Would not be excited about hiring him

Would have been great hire back in 2003 but game has changed a bunch since his last championship in 2006

I'm to lazy to post all the reasons why Gus would be better than BP. In the end it's like comparing to pieces of mediocrity.
