Or Arkansas is so bad that even Cowart can make plays.

Agreed.

There's a video of Steele dancing in the locker room after the game. Towards the end you can see Cowart on the right side just off camera then coming into the frame towards the end. He was getting down with everyone and having a good time. I'll try and find a link but on my phone

Still a glimmer of hope he can get there. It had to be inspiring to play on the defense yesterday. Everybody was flying around making plays.

Marlon Davidson will be a monster

This is what people want us to believe. Arkansas' defense is awful. Duh. But their offense was good to go. Sprinkle was banged up, but his ankle seemed good enough. Let's face it. The only way others can find a way to come to terms with Auburn's defense right now is to discredit the other team. "They can't be this good."

Great game by Cowart especially on the short yardage 3rd down when Arky ran right at him.

He'a got the talent obviously to be a beast. This D line is the best in the entire country.

LINK

Needs to be made into a gif. It's a shame we already played LSU.

So it looks like Steele learned a thing or two from Dabo during his time at Clemson.

Cowart was always going to have to move inside at his size. It is a totally different technique and he is just starting to understand how to use leverage instead of just running around the end.

We are third in the nation in scoring defense. Let that sink in.

Arkmart hung 30 on Bammer so lets hear you continue the logic the rest of the way...

Wtf are you talking about? There are a shite ton of 4-3 DEs way bigger in size than Cowart. Almost all the elite 4-3 DEs in the NFL are considerably bigger

Marlon Davidson is already a monster. He is arguably already the best player we have on the D line and that is saying something.

Was very happy to see Cowart making plays. I think next year when if put another 15-20 lbs on him and move him inside he is going to have a breakout year.

Cowart's issue, to me, has always been 2 things:

1. He's slow off the snap. Doesn't have a super fast get-off (TWSS). It is definitely more of a slow reaction thing than a lack of quickness though.
2. He lacked counter moves and the knowledge of when to use the moves he does have. Basically if he gets shut down on his first try he just sits there holding his gap, or trying to.

Both of those issues are things that can be improved on, and I think they ARE improving. He has a lot of athleticism and talent, so hopefully those 2 issues are getting fixed.
