It's been prolific in just about every game I've watched this season. It's not a Bama conspiracy, nor is it the reason AU lost.

This right here. Watch just about any game and you will see holding non calls all day. Don't know why, but it has gotten ridiculous.

I mean, what's the criteria? If you're going to make it a penalty at all, call it consistently.

I agree. But at least the called it consistently within the game. I'm sure we got away with some too that didn't get called.
