Ask your NOLA fam to get some Parish stuff for you, too.

Parish:
Ghost in the Machine (good luck finding it, they'll have to be quick)
Canebreak
Envie
Dr. Hoptagon

How's 61 minute? I shouldn't have forgotten about maduro.

Lagunitas is worth checking out. Everything they brew is good and they're the best bomber value anywhere.

Hop Stoopid, Censored, Gnarleywine, Hairy Eyeball, etc.

DFH makes a solid Pumpkin Ale that's great for fall

New Belgium has a black lager called 1554 that can add a little variety. It looks like a stout, but not nearly as heavy

Lady beers? Anything made by Leinenkugel?

If you're in South Alabama, pick up any of the Lazy Magnolia brews

Ahhh that's the trick. Good to know In Alabama, anything Blue Pants brews is worth the price tag IMO. If Blue Pants was in Vermont they'd sell out of everything on the shelf as soon as it's stocked.

I haven't seen snake handler in a while.

One of my favorite from DFH. I think their IPA's are a bit too malty, but 61 is nice with the grape must addition.

Agreed. Sucks, Brown Sugga, and their stout (that I can't currently remember) are all awesome, too.

Haven't had the new IPA from Oskar. Have you had anything from Big Top Brewery out of Sarasota. Their Circus City IPA is great.

you can't see but there's at least two fifths of parish brewing farmhouse IPA in the door of that fridge. i've really enjoyed it, so i'll definitely be on the look-out for your recommendations.

NOLA/Abita folks: is there any straw-ator left to be had nowadays?

Blue Pants are good friends of ours in Madison, AL. One of the owners is an Auburn EE grad.

I think it's only in Florida, got a nephew down there that hooks me up. Also, if you are in Florida, Swamp Head Brewery makes some pretty good stuff too. I know you can get it in PCB

Mr. compscitiger and myself will be headed to the Oskar Blues Ten Fiddy release party at the brewery in Brevard, (Asheville) NC on Friday night. They will have 2015 FIDY, 2012 FIDY, Raspberry FIDY, Tart Cherry FIDY, Bourbon Barrel-aged FIDY, Pumpkin Pie FIDY, and Peppermint Mocha FIDY. Will report back on our findings.

We have a drawer full of cheap beer, club soda and water for you. I use the beer for slug bait in my garden.
