Not a single word about shithead playcalling.

The man's ego won't allow him to self examine.

I wonder why that's a problem. Can't be the play caller's fault.

When you keep calling plays where a guard has to pull 8yards to block the best DE in the nation it is kind of your fault.

He's right in some respects.

Look at the missed blocking.

However, he sucks dick as a coach.

Yeah there was some awful missed blocks. There should be no excuse having Garrett get in untouched that many times. OL and the fullback.

Maybe you should put your players in who can execute.

We hear, from the very limited info provided, that Eli Stove is making plays in camp. He rides the pine in favor of the Lollipop Guild at WR. We are all excited to see Kam Pettway. we get the f'n fullback Twirlybird aka the FB Pirouette as McShay call it.

Yep, line execution was horrid and Cox looked completely lost out there.

He's not completely wrong. There were some dropped passes, poor decisions by White & missed blocks. However when part of your strategy is to have your FB or a pulling guard block the best DE in the country there are some major schematic issues you need to fix as well. Not sure why we abandoned the quick passing game that worked so well last week. We fell back into that Clemson funk of no rhythm & trying to do 4 separate things at once

Gus is stubborn, and he won't take blame for this.

Remember, he's an offensive "genius."

He is blaming the players. Typical of an egomaniac to blame others

Instead of trying to make one QB fit the system, (IE: run all 3qb's all summer long), the SOB should have actually looked at what they do well and then develop a plan. This sort of recycling is a little too green for me.... he won't even make new excuses.

Bobby Petrino is not running his usual O cause Jackson is a freak. We have a stout D and a game manager type QB but we call plays like NM is our QB.

Anyone who thinks our O could be fixed simply with play calling isn't being honest. The play calling looks so poor for several reasons...

1) Our oline is below average. Smith might play in the NFL and at best he will be a 2nd day pick. Kozan is a good college lineman, but not a great you can build around.

2) SW as a QB does some things well, but he wouldn't be very successful in any SEC offense. He can't stretch the field. He can't beat you with his feet. He isn't insanely accurate in the short and intermediate passing game.

3) The WR show promise, but what does it matter if you can't get them the ball.

4) The RB's are both good college backs. But what does that matter if the Oline can't block.

5) JFIII probably should have been played from the beginning. Three things happen with him at QB. His running ability helps a below average oline by creating blocking angles thanks to the D respecting his speed. Being able to run the ball would help our slightly better than average D. From what I saw tonight he clearly has a strong arm if he'd played all three games maybe he'd figure out the throwing thing.

Gus deserves the blame for not having an SEC level Oline or SEC level QB with experience. He also deserves the blame for going with SW hoping to win 6-7 games instead of rolling the dice with JFIII and maybe developing him into a 9 win QB this season.

I'd like to see the execution of whoever called that shitshow of an offense.
