is quietly having a decent year. 9th on the team in tackles and 2nd only to M Adams among the DL.

He looked very good last week. He got off the blocks well.

I approve this thread.

It's nice to see a DE step it up. That was probably the position I was most worried about after Lawson went down. Just a whole bunch of unproven players there. When you're having to start undersized true freshman just to see if they can get a pass rush off the edge, you know you need all the help you can get there.

I'm hoping he can get some more PT. He was my sleeper pick when we recruited him.

he's not a speed guy off the edge, but he seems like a solid run stopping end... not flashy athletic, but every team needs guys like that... great for depth.

Nope. He only weighs 260 and we aren't Vandy

Shots fired...

(Btw, Vandy doesn't have a DL on depth chart under 288.)

Even kids like Adams and Lawson can take a year for the light to come on, and the confidence to develop. SEC OL are beasts as well. No 18 year old is going to manhandle SEC OL as FR. They may have solid years, but it usually takes 2 years IMO, minimum.
