How is everyone feeling about this game? Does Lindsey open the passing game up right off the bat? Will the defense reload or take some time to gel?
I'm nervous...

I think we will have quite a few successful Downfield throws, but we won't open up the offense pre Clemson
As in GSU sucks and guys will be open downfield. We won't so anything crazy route tree / play calling to set things up

They seemed pretty salty last year and Gus is known to start slow.

I'm not the least bit nervous. I'm curious in how we play this game - vanilla or explore the play book. I think it's more valuable to open the playbook and get legit reps before Clemson. JS needs it

Hopefully Gus will let Chip go with enough, to let everyone (recruits) know there's something new going on. Not really wanting to see the whole package, but enough to show he's learned a lesson from last years season opener. That one's going to bite for years (F'Clemsin).

I think we do what we need to jump out to a lead with cushion,l because triple option isn't designed to come back from two or three score deficit. Then we just chew up the clock.

Im saying the first play from scrimmage is a deep ball to Kyle Davis.

First play will be Pettway up the gut.

May be but Slayton will have the most receptions tomorrow. Gonna be our #1 this year

I hope that AU can hit a few deep passes to jump on GSU and take away their grind it out game plan. I'm expecting a few early short passes to get Stidham comfortable before going after the whole enchilada with Slayton,Craig-Myers and Davis.

The first play will be a deep ball purely for recruiting.

Georgia Southern wont be easy. We'll need to play well. Especially since Gus is gonna go all conservative in prep for clempsum. Hoping the OL jells because its gonna be heavy doses of Pettway and KJ.

PM talked to someone "in the know" and they said the offense looks exactly the same except the passing game has been revamped. As far as tomorrow goes i'm expecting a ton of the running game.

Then we line up crazy quick, same formation, no motion, quick count, same play.
Then on third down Cox cat. Play action with orbit motion.....Whirly bird !!!!

I have a feeling it will be very boring come 3rd quarter

I bet the passing is limited cuz coaches worry about things like loosing their meal ticket QB to a lower tier school because your blind side tackle is playing his first game.

Kyle Davis won't be catching the first pass

I'll be slightly nervous by game time. But I expect a 1-2 deep shots in the first half but otherwise relatively vanilla ground and pound and play keep away from a cut blocking triple option
