Yup, I'm not sure if I would want my NFL DT to look like that. He looks nice and soft.

I just saw an article this week that said that the Rams are concerned about Fairley's weight.

He's hired a nutritionist and is down to 280.

Nick Fairley gained something like 15-20 pounds offat in 2 weeks last training camp and was at like 330.

Consider this:
-A 6'4 315 pound man burns an estimated 3400 Calories/day living a "sedentary" lifestyle
-If you put that at "very to extremely active" (in training camp) it is 4900+ calories
-Let's use the debated 3500 calories = 1LB of fat which means 15LB=52500 cal surplus

**Conclusion: To gain 15 pounds in 2 weeks, Nick Fairley had to average roughly 9000 calories/day or roughly 10 Large sized Dominos pizzas

Where did he get the time to eat that much when training camp is going on and they are in residence? How did someone not just let him know, 'Hey Nick, that 10th pizza is a stretch bro'

Looks closer to what he was at in Auburn. His weight is secondary to his fitness level though, IMO.

He looked trimmer than what he was at Auburn. He was still a big guy. You're right about the fitness levels, it is a huge adjustment to fitness levels to have drastic weight changes
