Georgia Southern is a glorified scrimmage, so Clemson is the first real game.

So we have a better chance to beat Alabama than UGA has to beat us?

Sounds about right.

Yeah, no.

Also, we should have a better chance of beating LSU than UGa. I consider both to be about 50/50 at this point.

Im expecting a 2011 AU type season for Clemson.
Would be nice to return the favor by being the first team to kick their asses as defending champs.

Except that it is in Baton Rouge and Auburn can't win there

We have ridiculous levels of struggles in Baton Rouge, Memorial and Rupp/Lexington. Just known facts

Baton Rouge - (5-17-1)
Memorial (BBall) - (13-35)
Rupp/Lexington KY - (2-43)

Great. So that means we'll end up 7-6 or 8-5 like we usually do when we start in the top 5.

Fun fact: since Dye's first season in 1981, the AU-LSU series is dead even (14-14).

We are 11-4 at home and 3-10 in Red Stick. But no one ever talks about how LSU "can't win in Jordan-Hare".

It's because us losing in BR started after the notorious cigar game. So many LSU fans still get wrapped around the axle on that for whatever reason

I don't get too excited over these early predictions. I would rather be way down and exceed expectations on the field.

I am not ready to buy a t-shirt.

That's bc everybody on this board is under 25.

The fact we haven't won there in a while will have zero bearing on how the 2017 LSU game will play out.

I will wait to see 5 or 6 games before I get in line. But when I do, I will get a T-shirt and a cap

But I am just gonna sit back and watch this thing unfold...

I reaaaally don't see a reason we should be up so high. We have holes that one spring game isn't going to plug.

What holes? Injury on the O-line? TE? Everyone not named Bama has holes, but this Auburn team is as deep as it's been since 2004. Auburn is ranked where they should be for the first time in a long time. Hell, AU scores if the get within 35 yards of the goal-line, almost automatically, that's a hell of a luxury. This puzzle is going to come together this season, and barring injury to Stidham, AU will more than likely have consecutive 10+ win seasons.
