Tre Mason cant be happy. THe good news is that Gurley is a fragile motherfricker. Tre is not.

What a stupid pick.

Jeebus cheerist, they are desperate on their OL and they pick ANOTHER running back.

What does this mean for him? Why did the Rams need to reach when Mason's not bad at getting the job done?

Feel like this was the first bad pick of the draft.

Well it could be that the Rams felt like TG was the best available athlete on the board at the time they had to pick. They can always trade one or the other later.

You gotta figure Tre is on the phone with his agent wanting to know what in the actual frick is going on with the Rams.

There is no way that someone didn't want to trade with them.

I feel betrayed and violated. Hoping they trade one of the two. They already have a good change of pace in Stacy. They don't need all 3.
Rams are so unload to RBs. Stacy and Mason both had good rookie years only to have a better RB drafted to take their place.

Thats the nature of the NFL. its a year to year league. Contracts are not guaranteed either. I would not however characterize Gurley as a better back than Mason. Tre is a dominating, tough back, not prone to injury. Gurley has been fragile at Georgia. Stellar when healthy, but he isnt healthy that often. Will be interesting to see what happens. Honestly good luck to them all.

I would love to see Mason come to Atlanta to be honest. Him or CAP. Whowever gets CAP is going to get a beast.

The Rams have had excellent production two years in a row from rookie RBs both on the roster. Why would they think they need to spend a 1st RD on a RB ?

I kind of look at this as a vote of confidence for GRob.

I get that need help in other places on the OL, but still is good for Greg. IMO

Agreed, his health will be in question. Tre is a bull and tough as hell. No doubt Gurley has talent in spades. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I am going to laugh if they trade Tre and gurley stays hurt like he did in college. Dude is a beast when healthy and if him and Tre are healthy they will have a awesome 1 2 punch

I think Gurley is obviously going to be a beast if he's healthy, but its just so curious to me that a team with two proven young RBs would be the ones to take the first 1st round RB in however many years.

Makes me wonder if they want Gurley for all of his promise and will shop Mason who has proven value. Just doesn't make sense to have them both when you spent a 1st rounder on Gurley. Seems to hedge that first round pick youd want to take care of another position of need via trade.

Mason tweeted out that he's fueled up. That tells us all we need to know about what he thinks of that pick.

Just read an article on NFL.com that said Stacy is the odd man out in this. Stacy is being shopped

Yeah I don't think anyone thought Mason would actually be shopped around. Stacy has more tread on his tires and makes more sense to shop considering the circumstances
