The only issue with shoulder leading tackling is AC joint disolactions. I've worked as a sideline physician of sorts at smaller colleges and one in Louisianian started teaching this in the spring and we had them lined up the next two weeks.
In rugby without the bulky helmet you can spread the impact along your collar bone easier it seems + the force of impact isn't as fast. It would be interesting to see how the Seattle and USC's have worked around this or what form tips help it.

This is completely unreasonable of me but I watch a lot of Panthers football due to Cam, and every time I watch Kuechly on defense I resent the fact that he went to Boston College and not Auburn
We probably never even sent him an informational packet, but the fact that we haven't had a decent MLB since Josh Bynes while there's guys like Kuechly playing for Boston freakin College really makes me resent every defensive coaching staff we've had since Tuberville left.
