Did our skulldragging launch the LF hype train?

I was kind of hoping not too many people were watching that game. But will people always look back at that game as his coming out party? Admittedly around here he was buried under Chubb in the "who's better" debates. Then that game, and... boom.
LSU fans hyped him all along and they've been vindicated, but it seems like its gone national with the quickness.

dude is pedestrian and we made him look all world.

Buga earned some money when he played that pussy arse defense we have.

Analysts were predicting him at the Heisman ceremony before the season started. The Auburn LSU game was his "I am a real contender unlike the scrub playing QB against us" game

It's actually a little funny. A quadriplegic on a unicycle could have gotten 200 yards on our defense that day. I'm not sure why AU's defense is now being used as some standard to prove how great a RB is.

Hopefully he thanks Gus and Matthews when he lifts the statue in NYC

No. People have been hyping him since before he stepped foot on LSU's campus.

Yes it was and while Fournette is extremely talented and a top 2-3 back in the country the national hype over him is laughable at this point.

Not really. LF is a beast and will easily be playing on Sundays.

Right, that's why I said he's a top 2-3 back in the country. He's had 1 good game in his entire career against a decent team or a team with a decent defense. Shutdown multiple times last year and a few feastings on garbage teams doesn't all the sudden make him a legend.
He may get there, but he's got a lot to prove still to get the type of hype he is getting.

When you are the only viable option on a terrible offense, it shouldn't be too difficult to stop you. This year was a little different because Harris has improved. Also, we absolutely shite the bed. Expect LF to continue his dominant running.

We've been a stage for breakout performances since Matt Grothe, South Florida @ AU 2007. Annoying AF.

I don't think he is special. Good back. That was probably the worst D AU has ever ran on the field. He will struggle against Bama and Ole Miss.

I'll see your Matt Grothe and raise you a Dante Culpepper and Marcus Crandle. I'll never forget playing those two QBs as our cupcake games and thinking, who tha frick scheduled these teams?

He's a beast but Chubb is the better rb.

I fold. Culpepper good God. Did not google but im guessing Grothe isnt doing shite football wise now.
I have bad team taste. I am from buffalo, love the Bills (still somehow) and they provide the same breakout performance platform. Couple of years ago to go to the playoffs after our ongoing drought we had to win our last game against the Steelers. They playes their third strings...yay we're in! Not so fast. RB Willie Parker debuted, ripped our assholes open and we lost. frick the Cam season was the best for me as a sports fan.
