He was terrible last year regardless of what those percentages show. He has regressed as a play caller every year...simplifying the offense and refusing to expand the playbook. In Gus's first year, we went for two after TDs, then we got stopped once and never tried again. We attempted sneak onside kicks, then we got stopped once and he never tried again. All we get is "hurry, hurry, hurry" then run up the middle, triple whirlybird fake posts, wr screens and swing passes. Lets not forget the ever predictable jet sweep with fricking Ricardo Louis, who imo, may have been the least electric runner of our time.

Also, why the frick does it take Gus three or four games to figure out what kind of team he has? Who the talented players are? Its sad. If the fans put together a mock team, they wouldnt start Tony Stephens or Jason Smith, and they damn sure wouldnt have Marcus Davis as our number 1 receiver. Add in that we didnt even attempt a pass to a TE last year and we have the cluster frick which is Gus Malzahn.

Rant paused

I clicked to look at the splits....In conference RZ vs. TD sitting at 48%. Kinda middle of the road for an offensive genius.

I know what i have seen with my own eyes.

Starting from aTm game in 2014, our RZ play calling has been pure shite against LSU, Bama, Georgia, Arkansas, Miss St, & Ole Miss...sure we look good in the RZ against the Alabama AMs of the world, but in games that matter, we dont.

ah, i missed your pre-requisite in your previous post that only certain games are supposed to be accounted for in your analysis. i am sure no other teams in the sec struggled to score in the redzone against other sec opponents. you can probably tell me because you know so much about this matter.

PS: you might want to get your eyes checked out friend because auburn was 100% in tds against arkansas and lsu in 2015 & 60% against ta&m in 2014 (which includes a fumble that was clearly malzahns fault)

So you are happy with the red zone play calling from Gus Malzahn?

yeah, how silly of me to think that Auburn could move the ball on a Clemson defense.
Well, bad QB play and bad play-calling...

Auburn's offense might also get really predictable depending on how much pressure Clemson's offense lays on.

It's because if the Gus can't RZ play call argument is wrong, he can't justify why Sean White can't throw TD passes

dude, you feel like going at it again? Sean cant throw for TDs if Gus never calls passing plays in the red zone. DIAF
