Been watching some of Clemson's games to get a feel for how he will respond under pressure on the road... Watson has a cannon, is accurate, reads defenses, looks off defenders, scrambles when there's pressure and runs the zone read perfectly. frick.

and yet I feel better about our D vs Watson than I do about our offense vs any D with a pulse.

You don't come in second in Heisman voting unless you are pretty good at football

Agreed about Watson.

However, as a team in 2015 they:

Only beat Louisville (at Louisville) 20-17
Only Beat Notre Dame at home 24-22
Only beat SC 37-27 (in Columbia)
FSU and Syracuse were only 10 point victories.

In 2015 Clemson was ranked #19 preseason. My question is will they buckle under the pressure and spotlight this season.

Has Dabo ever had this much talent?

They had 9 selected in the draft and there's also been the news of the DE who is out because of a foot injury.

If there is a time for us to beat Clemson, it's week 1 at Jordan Hare at night. If we can get anything resembling average-to-good QB play we can be in it.

I just don't think we will.

Considering their defense has a ton of question marks all over it, I think average to good QB play isn't unreasonable.

I just don't think anything less than good QB play can win it for us

disagree. This game will all depend on Gus's play calling in the red zone imo

It's a pretty big stretch to assume Auburn will be able to drive the length of the field multiple times, IMO.

oh yeah, how silly of me to think that Auburn could move the ball on a Clemson defense.

Gus's RZ playcalling is his Achilles heel. Wish he would fire Lashlee and hire someone who specializes in the RZ.

My hope is he's really going to lean on Herb Hand for a different perspective. Hand is the one element that hasn't been discussed when it comes to Gus' play calling.
