I'll be honest when I heard he took to twiter after a scrim I was expecting it to be some off the wall stupid trash talking nonesense. Instead it was the kid complaining about being yelled at for his performance instead of " helped more".

Sounds a bit whiney in a way, but I would much rather have a guy who wants to get help to be better than one who just thinks he's the shite and not doing anything wrong.

The two tweets read::

“Being penalized because I was number 1 player but I’m struggling I don’t care about the stars. So why when I struggle its thrown in my face

“How about help me huh? I cam in humble ready to learn man not bragging and flashy. I just wanna learn”

Followed by::

“Lesson learned nothing is wrong with me i love my team i love Auburn i just made a freshman mistake #WDE mental mistake”

He's young and frustrated I'm sure. I'm glad social media wasn't around when I was younger. The future is bright for this young man. Just tell everyone that chucky got his phone and posted it.

I could see Gardner giving him shite about being the number 1 player and messing up a lot. I would get frustrated hearing shite like that too.

Hopefully he has learned that social media isn't your psychologist. If you spout your emotions for the world to see, you end up worse off than before. It's great though he's not being coddled and is being held to the same standards. I'm glad he calmed down and will hopefully learn shite like this will only make teammates resent you for being a prima donna.

Sure, you can get frustrated, that's natural. If he has issues, take it up with the coach outside of the public sphere. What he did was exactly the opposite of how he should have handled it. Hopefully he lives and learns. I'm definitely not going to make any excuses for him though.

Considering the stories that I read during his recruitment about his Mom and their relationship, I'm kinda betting that Mom didn't give him the "Awwww my poor baby! You need to come on home!" treatment after this.

I'm guessing there was some of that mama tough love mixed in with a Garner visit.

Everyone has been inferring it was a coaching issue, when I think it could be just as much a player issue where older guys were saying his stars don't mean shite and they were likely getting the best of him too. I dunno but either it's not a big deal really

Amen! The stupid stuff I said and did 25 years ago... thank God there was no social media that was pervasive.

He's probably not used to not being the best player on the field all the time. Got frustrated, bitches a little, coach and mom lit his arse up, and he decided not to do that again

IMO I just wonder if Garner took his little "derecruiting" philosophy a little too far. None of us see what's happening at practice so it's hard to know what really happened. I mean Cowart seemed like a pretty humble kid from what I've seen so maybe he just doesn't understand why he's being singled out like this. I dunno. He'll get over it.
