from AU reporters.

JGT & BM don't feel he is a major candidate @ South Carolina as HC. JLee & PAM feel he is. They all agree though if offered HC there, he likely takes it.

Well of course he takes it if offered. Why wouldn't he take an SEC HC gig?

Some reports are saying he's their first choice...

That seems like a big risk on SC's part.

Then he is gone and I can not blame him. Would be surprised.

Auburn beat writers likely know nothing about who USCe wants for HC

They didn't even know who Auburn was going to hire.

Even, still they have a better chance of knowing more than us so IMO it was worth posting.

He takes the job if offered. It was a known risk when we hired him. I am sure we'll move on Odom quickly if Boom leave.

Odom is likely going to Memphis so you'd have to go plan C

Will be a shitty time to find a DC with all the openings.

Has TRob progressed enough?

That would be my call. I think the guy is a star and we likely lose him with Muschamp otherwise.

He can get away with being a hothead as a coordinator but it dooms him as a head coach imo.

I get the feeling Muschamp is their "strike out" candidate. If they strike out everywhere else, they will hire him.

I would tend to agree, but some of his antics on our sidelines the last go-round were what started getting him some attention. OF course that was when he was an up and comer too and not a former SEC HC.

I love Champ. He is just to talented to keep, tho. And there are too many open jobs this year.

If he has progressed enough then I think it would be a smart move and he likely will stay longer with us since he is young. Needs stability with coordinators especially on D since our HC has no identity with Defense. Just MO.
