Bryan Matthews reports. From his coach:
quote:

“He’s going to go there and start on Sunday. His goal is to get out before next football season. That’s what he’s trying for and hopefully he’ll make it but it might be two football seasons before he can get back.”

You have to go for two, right? I know you can redshirt one of the two.

Yes, if you go JUCO, you must "graduate" from JUCO.

If Robinson can't even qualify out of high school, I highly doubt he has the ability to finish 2 years of JUCO course work in one year.

I wonder what the odds of him re-signing with Auburn are?

In two years if we're signing JUCO RBs I'd say the Gus Bus isnt firing on all cylinders.

I dunno, maybe not too bad. He is one of my favorite recruits in this past class and I hope he sticks with us after JUCO and we stick with him.

He doesn't play RB

I assume the staff will monitor his progress and make another decision when the time comes

Yeah, he's one of my favorite recruits as well. He stuck with us through thick and thin last year, even when other programs came knocking (like Alabama). I'd have to guess there's around a 75% chance of him re-signing if he can keep his grades in order and such. He might be around 6'2, 210 pounds two years from now, which would give us another bigger body.

If anyone remembers, I came in with some insider recruiting info from my buddy in Auburn. She was around Earnest Robinson a couple months before he committed to Auburn, while he was considered a heavy Alabama lean, and I was relayed that he really, really liked Auburn, and that it was a pretty safe assumption that he would eventually commit to Auburn. She was dead on.

WRs are a dime-a-dozen. I wish him luck, but I don't think wasting a scholly on a JUCO WR is something we'll do.

I disagree. Robinson is bigger and stronger as a high school senior than any WR we have on our roster. Denson is heavier than him, but I doubt he is stronger and is probably less physical. Robinson is a beast in the weight room for a HS WS and he has the physical size and strength to play right now. He also catches anything near him and is very aggressive.

Here is his scouting summary. Note how it says he is ready to play now as a freshman:

quote:

Scout's Take: "What is impressive about Robinson is his size and ability to catch the ball. He’s not overly fast, but there are plenty of outstanding receivers who are not. The key for Robinson is to learn the playbook because he’s physically ready for college

I hope he ends up with us.

He will make a great TE for his JUCO team.

Yeah, okay. This is all based on the hours you have spent watching them all compete in person, right?

Denson is bigger. Coates is bigger. Did you forget about Ricardo Louis who is a rock, and has a mean-streak to boot?

I think the reality is slim E-Rob resigns with Auburn unless he becomes a D'haquille Williams freak of a juco receiver. By the time he is eligible if Gus' O is clicking like it should Gus will be able to cherry pick the best WRs in the nation.

Walk on Melvin Ray is bigger and stronger than E-Rob too.

All I've picked up on in the last two weeks on this board is that people's perception of reality is fricked.

What is that in reference too LCT? People thinking or hoping E-Rob signs with Auburn in 2 years?
