Months ago a few of us were worried about a scorned woman blowing the whistle, well...

The concerning thing is the timeline. Relations started in 2014 and he resigned in 2017.

Sorry, I didn't clarify that well. She called the cops on them when they were arrested and suspended for weed during the season.

I personally don't believe there has ever been a time in history where one man could have a sexual relationship with one girl while harassing or leading on other girls. The hens came home to roost

I wasn't around back then, but I've heard plenty of people who were in HS in the 70s and 80s say that gym teachers and football coaches sleeping with female students was as common back then as it seems females teachers sleeping with male students is today. Only nobody turned people in and nobody got arrested for it back then.

And most people seem to agree that Mad Men is an accurate representation of the 60s, which leads me to believe that things were prettt sexually harassment-y back then and nobody was getting fired or in trouble for it.

Hell, look at this shite that's coming out now about Hugh Freeze back when he was a HS coach and that was just in the 90s and early 00s. Freeze wad doing the same stuff and worse, and sounds like more frequently with more girls and over a much longer time period than Myers. And nobody said shite about that for 15-20+ years until now. People are all about turning in people for sexual harassment these days in the current SJW culture. And it's good that the real creeps and pervs like Freeze and Corey Myers are getting called out for it, but it's also getting to the point where a guys life can get ruined over nothing because it's almost trendy to be some sort of victim these days (not saying that about this case, because Corey is clearly a real creep)

An interesting part is the timing of the release. ESPN could have sat on this until Monday. Safterday afternoon? The day of Mayweather vs McGregor.

This story will barely be talked about due to timing

The Title IX case should be over quickly since the Meyers are gone. Auburn will settle a lawsuit and this will not be a huge story.

I was around back then, but I can't speak for the whole world. I can tell you that it wasn't as common as you imply. Though I suspect it happened and didn't get reported. My comment spoke more to involving multiple girls. In my estimation it would be more likely to keep it quiet if only a single girl was involved verses several. I.E. Jealousy, anger, etc...

Unless WW3 starts tomorrow, allegations of a male coach having inappropriate relations with players is absolutely not just going to fade into the abyss.

I don't know about that...a lot depends on how substantiated the harassment stuff is, etc...One girl has already come out in defense of the coaching staff and called into question one of the accusers. I am by no means suggesting this is all a fairytale, but history would show us that when story lines don't flow naturally the media will move on to something else. People don't like a messy narrative, so the media doesn't like reporting on complexities.

Haley Fagan apparently has stated that several players reported ethics violations against the coach(es) back in SEPTEMBER 2016

Then they filed complaints against Jay Jacob's in April.

Wow.

This isn't going away. Heads will roll. And rightfully so.

Wasn't she one of the players who then went back and recanted on those statements?

Not sure.

Haley Fagan told ESPN several players filed ethics complaints re: Corey Myers in Sept. 2016.

This could actually cause us to clean house in the AD depending on how deep this goes.

I knew it was too good to be true to have this just all fade away.

I'm starting to wonder if Myers and company didn't want out of Arizona State for similar reasons. The more that comes out, the more Corey sounds like an amazing pile of human garbage.

It won't surprise me either. I personally believe this could leave JJ most vulnerable after improperly vetting Galloway.

His sons werent there in his later years at ASU though right? Seems unlikely since Clint's alleged involvement seems just not canning/supervising his son

Did the other son have any involvement in the cover up/alleged harassment?

If not, he is about to get absolutely hosed by his family
