In all seriousness, JJ resigns today right?

So in a nutshell it sounds like Person had a friend who was a suit maker in ATL. Friend somehow got in trouble with the law and cut a deal. Friend along with FBI set up fake "agency" and bribed Chuck to funnel players to this agency. In Wileys case FBI paid Chuck 50k to talk Wileys mom into signing with this fake agency.

What I'm getting out of this is we can even win when we cheat. That is a tough pill to swallow

This is all nuts.
We will know the names at some point today I bet. We think Wiley and Heron?

It’s gotta be them. Only two legit NBA players we had.

This should be the nail in the coffin.

Really don’t see this being that bad in the long run

It better fricking be. This is making national news.

I think even if you went with the idea that this was an isolated, rogue coach, there has just been too much bad to allow Jay Jacobs to continue.
It appears that our athletic department philosophy is to take the exploitation of 18-22 year old student athletes to the next level.

If you read the complaint it is clearly talking about Wiley.

They have evidence that Person's funneled money to a player. How is that not bad?
Posted on 9/26/17 at 10:09 am to Smoke7024
So if you read through the string of events, it looks like Person needed a 60k loan from this guy and his loan payments would be offset by 10-15k by each player he delivered to him. Wiley is obviously one of them and Heron is probably the other. This kinda does just look like Person was a rogue coach in need of a loan. I can’t figure out why Person needs a 60k loan so bad though.

This is really bad.
Not just for Auburn and the other teams named, but college basketball as a whole.
CBB has always been so dirty. The whole thing could change

Admittedly I need to re-read, and this is probably just semantics, but I thought it was that he received money for funneling his probable pro-bound athletes' business to these outside guys...

So, player was ineligible. Complaint claims Auburn didn't know, or implies that. So we unknowingly played an ineligible player.
We unknowingly (hopefully) had a coach paying a player's family to benefit a third party.
I can see lots of violations, but right now, I don't see any egregious university-centric behavior of the type that typically fricks programs.

That is the basic idea
