We may have lost the game, but we looked like an Auburn Football team. Defense locked down MSU in the second half, held them scoreless in the fourth, and completely stopped Miss St's run game. True freshman looked like they improved throughout the game and when Tre Williams was injured, Frost stepped up and delivered.

Offensively, we played ball control the entire game. Our dives consisted of long grinding it out drives that White did an excellent job of managing;

13 PLAYS, 70 YARDS, 6:27
3 PLAYS, 9 YARDS, 2:17
6 PLAYS, 14 YARDS, 3:53
15 PLAYS, 67 YARDS, 7:17
6 PLAYS, 43 YARDS, 2:59
12 PLAYS, 54 YARDS, 5:11
7 PLAYS, 29 YARDS, 2:45
4 PLAYS, 17 YARDS, 0:39
5 PLAYS, -5 YARDS, 2:25
11 PLAYS, 56 YARDS, 2:17

The we get into the red zone and Gus's weakness shows. He is quite possibly the worst play caller in the RZ i have seen. Between the 20s, we looked great, but get in a short field situation and he cant dial it up. And ffs whats with the triple reverse play action statue of liberty frick i cant call a normal pass play call in the fourth quarter? Pull your head out of your arse Gus!

Yes, Sean though a pick on the opening drive, but tbh, the guy looked wide open in the endzone right before the ball was released. Cant fault him for that one. He bounced back and never showed an ounce of quit in him. Hell, he even impressed with his zone read ability and how well he sold the fake.

Barber and KJ may be the best tandem we have had in the back field in a long time. Excellent in space and between the tackles. Loved the screen game we used Saturday and OL blocking looks improved.

Someone needs to step up at WR. Duke looks to be half assing it, Rico has completely disappeared and Ray is dropping passes. And where was Jason Smith? Why waste first team reps with him if you are not going to use it in the game?

All in all, Sean won the Qb job, we have two game changer Rbs, and our defense looks like they are making strides. Oh, and did i mention our special teams? Hello. Punter sky punts the ball 50 yards and Carlson is a straight up beast, less the missed chip shot.

If we can manage the game, and improve our red zone playcalling, we could end up with a respectable record and bowl game. Not pumping sunshine, but we are going to upset some teams down the stretch.

I agree completely. We've got everything in place to be a solid team by the time Georgia and Alabama come around, which is all this season is going to be good for at this point.

It's not a championship year like we were expecting, but we've got a youth movement going on right now that will lay a great foundation for the next few years. People need to step off the ledge.

I agree with pretty much everything you posted and I'll add a little bit myself.

Kerryon has the build to win national awards once he wins the starting job at RB in the future.

Muschamp just said Countess is our best safety.. Appalling considering Ford led the team in tackles last year and Tray Matthews was supposed to be Auburn's stronghold back there.

We only missed 6 tackles against MSU. That's awesome.

I agree that we will hop up and bite someone in the arse. I don't see this team laying down and accepting beat downs at home to anyone. On the road is a different story.

Jason Smith just doesn't seem comfortable out there. He dropped a huge pass last night over the middle. Maybe he hears footsteps I don't know

You must be recalling the third and 20 where Gus called for orbit motion fake reverse against a edge blitz resulting in a 9 yd loss. Gus is way to enamored with reverses. We have a running game.

Louis was hurt. Limited number of plays.

duke should go ahead and quit. He is a quitter and I would rather see J Wall out there than a quitter.

yeah I have no clue why we took KJ out of play in the second half and went to Spin Move Thomas and just to throw this out but why no Tony Stevens in for Duke

Thanks, great write up that pretty much sums up my feelings.

I left the game feeling better about this team than I have all year.

It was either because he was surprised the ball actually got there instead of the one hoppers or over throws JJ has been throwing at him or he just wasn't impressed by the pass because it didn't come from a super talented zone read qb (the perfect AU qb that we need for Gus to be successful) He would have caught it had White been the answer, which of course he is not.

Without a doubt. Sean White played well (really well, all things considered), KJ is a beast in the making, and the defense played inspired.

Spin Move Thomas

He does need to consider not doing it every single time. He is going to get knocked out because of it sometime and will likely fumble in the process.

Kerryon and Barber are our 1-2 punch.

Did you guys not ever watch his HS highlights? That is what he does. It was there on film for everyone to see. I don't know why anyone would be surprised by the fact that he spends too much time spinning in circles.

Maybe I'm way too ADD because I'm a details kind of guy and I notice this shite. I can't help myself.

Ricardo Louis has been injured, according to Gus when he was asked where #5 has been.

I watched the game this morning and couldn't agree more. I'm just accepting the fact that this season and possibly next season will be tough to stomach but we need to let Gus fix this shite. Firing him would only be a knee jerk reaction that would only continue the revolving door of coaches.
