Pretty much non existent in most games. No, he is not getting double teamed. Most of the time he is one on one. 6 Career sacks. Garrett had half that last night and changed the game. Ardent Key has 6 sacks already this year. He should be a difference maker. We haven't had one since Nick Fairley.

Dude definitely hasn't lived up to the hype. Really think the last injury either still effects him or has him playing safe for the NFL.

No it is not. He had 1 sack when ge came back last year. Lawson is just not a play maker. He causes some disruption, but does not make plays.

Carl is definitely not the pass rusher that Myles Garrett or Ryan Anderson is. He needs to lose the elite pass rusher label. Overall he is still playing solid though. I'm disappointed in his sack numbers but then again, I'm disappointed in our lack of pass rush last night as a unit as well. Trevor Knight is prone to make stupid decisions and we never forced one. He had all day to throw which forced our secondary to play like white on rice for way too long. Our secondary was on fire though and played their asses off.

He is more of a solid support guy. Reminds me of that white guy we paired with NF in 2010

I think Carl is overshadowed by the depth of the D line, he's no longer the top dog on the defensive side of the ball.

Garretts success had more to do with our terrible blocking schemes.

We were pulling a guard to try and block him. He is a speed rusher.

I wish other teams would be that stupid and block Lawson that way.

He would dominate.

Lawson played well, causes disruption and is hard to block.

Guy just can't finish a play. He probably has an absurd amount of QB hurries

that might make sense if ANY of them were getting the sacks/pressures. we are looking pretty average relative to the talent level TBH.

I think the injuries have really set him back. He was dominating Louisville last yr. He's definitely lost a step or two.

We get pressure but can't finish with the sack. Frustrating. It's like they're trying so hard to get back there that they overrun it.

Monty and Marlon have been our best so far. Liked moving #1 to DE on a few plays. He's pretty fast for his size. He's always around the tackle when backs break loose, but is that a good thing? Id like to see us switch him and Russell's positions

Lawson gets to the QB and misses the tackle most of time he gets there. Very frustrating.

He leads the team in QB hurries so he has made an impact. Only reason Watson threw a pick was because of Lawson's pressure. He has to get better at finishing which has been disappointing but part of what has helped the rest of the DL succeed is teams scheme around him. If you think Lawson is the best DE in the nation then ya he was overrated but he is one of our best defensive players on the team right now & a big part of our success in the front 4

What DL success are you speaking of? We cannot get to the QB without blitzing.

1

We are not getting blown of the LoS this season. That is a great success.

We actually get decent pressure and collapse the pocket but are not making plays.
