According to Malzahn
quote:
"I'm not saying right now that he'll play Saturday," Malzahn said during his weekly Tuesday press conference, "but the fact that he's out there practicing will be good from a leadership standpoint, if nothing else."

He might be practicing in a "bubble boy" type apparatus.

The fact that he's practicing is great, great news. If he can make it back, this D will improve so much. We'll see a lot more pressing and man coverage by the DBs and our LBs won't be as much of a liablity in space.

It's really a completely different defense if Lawson plays.
And he made Tunsil look stupid freshman vs freshman so I'm not worried about that for now.

Tunsil had 2 full years under his belt + Lawson is recovering from an injury. I think Lawson wins and is a factor, but he isn't going to abuse Tunsil and dramatically alter the game like he would vs 99% of other CFB OTs
Given that Ole Miss isn't great running the ball, I'd love to put both Lawson and Cassanova at DE and let them get after it

Lawson went against the RT side of the line against UL (the QB was right-handed)...

Didn't even realize that. That is pretty weird, wasn't even really a split either.
I wouldn't mind bookending Cass/Carl

I'm guessing A&M is when we see him. Would love for him to be back this Saturday tho. Would be a huge morale booster

BM (Rivals)
I feel pretty confident he will play in some capacity against Ole Miss.
