In concurrence with this post, I'd like to add that last year we signed five players that were rated 0.96 or above on 247. This year, only Stidham was rated above 0.96. The next highest is Brahms at 0.93.

I agree. The problem with a good class is that it slides us way down in the very talent rich SEC talent pool. Like was mentioned earlier, 10th in the country is still 4th or 5th in the SEC these days. If we can continue to progress on defense and get a good OC that brings new wrinkles to the offense and it improves I would think our class will be vastly improved next season. That is, of course, unless we go 8-5 or 9-4 and the loud side of the fan base screams to fire everyone again.

I would have liked to see some play makers on the DL. My only issue with this class.

I'm not thrilled with the class either but assuming they stick Ashley, Troxell, and Moultry are all rated higher than Brahms.

I tend to not look at the team rankings as much as key positions.

Basically. I feel pretty good bout LB and WR but we could use one more.

As a team, at WR I feel like we're ok. As a class, this one is thin.
On the flip side, I feel like this is a really solid LB class but we're thin as a team.
At DE, I hope Jeff Holland can fill Lawson's shoes as our pass rusher but we definitely need more of these.
I honestly don't know a ton about our DB's outside of Carlton Davis. (I don't view this as a bad thing b/c it means I'm not screaming at Neiko to turn his head and look for the damn ball anymore.)

Still think we need some help at Running Back. I dont see any backs on our list that fit what we need.

Clemson has gone on a run with classes outside the top ten.
We need coaches that can develop the top ten classes we are accumulating.
That is what has set other teams apart from us. I'm not saying across the board, but at a few positions we can do much better in development.
We need an elite QB and we need a more sophisticated passing game.

While Clemson's classes are not ranked top 10, they are usually pretty consistent at getting 3 or 4 big names every cycle. And then develop those players and/or place them in a position to best utilize their skills.
