The thread on tRant right now reminds me how much joy Cam brought to my life. His actions in the pros aren't always my cup of tea, but in the end he gave us 2010...as well as, an entire treasure chest full of ignorance spewed by jealous fans since that glorious season.

I still remember when he just randomly showed up at AU/BAMA basketball game and Auburn rallied to win. This Bama dude was just so pissed Cam was there and watching him struggle with seeing Cam having a good time while bball team lost was amazing. Cam is the GOAT

Needs to cement his legacy by convincing Fields to go to AU.

More from Hunter & cb22. Hunter feels we land Fields if we win 9+ & look good on O. Cb doesn't feel Fields is a lock to AU but is 100% sure FSU feels we lead. All FWIW.

How does this jive with the assumption he plans to commit sometime before/earlier in the season rather than later?

Is 2010 the best team in Auburn history?
Maybe not.
Is 2010 the most unbeatable team in Auburn history?
Without question.
All because of one Cameron Jerrell Newton, Esq.

I have been saying that for a few years now. Nobody was going to beat that team.
Not because they were the best team ever. Because they were unbeatable.
Best season ever in my 35 years of watching Auburn football. Not because of the championship, because of the team

The team, and what they gave us each week!
An exciting game, in which they made the opponent their personal beyotch! With UGA being the fluff, and Bama the climax! I never have felt satisfaction like watching those necks with their heads hung low.
2013 could have been right there, had the mission been completed.

Umm, I think his legacy is cemented already bud

I think the 2004 team would kick their arse. IMO, that is the best Auburn team I have ever seen.

That 2004 team couldn't even kick VT's arse.
And if you're response to that is "Oh, that's only because Tuberville went into his shell!", then I really don't think you're thinking this whole thing through very well.

Top to bottom that 04 team had more talent. Arguing that one team or another would win with certainty is silly to me because it'll never be proven
But carry on as you will

Your memory is poor. That VT team was playing as well as anybody at the end of the season. There were gum bumpers picking VT for the W.

If we're speaking talent wise...I'm 22 but in my time the 03 Auburn time had the most talent but we all know how that went. From Offense to Defense...that roster was STACKED.

That VT team gave the unbeatable, invincible USC team a good game in their season opener.

You do know 2010 needed a last second FG to beat Kentucky, won by 3 against Miss St, and got very lucky to win in OT vs. a 6-7 Clemson team.
