Wait, in your world you hang out with women who love vodka and tomato juice?
Yeah, I'm not surprised at that in the least.

Plus, one thing that adds to the delicious perfectness of the Bloody Mary is that your favorite ice-cold beer (as long as its not a foo-foo fruity enhanced beer) is a perfect chaser.

I have to admit, I freakin' *loved* IPA's in my younger years.
But not so much anymore. I don't know what has changed in the mean time since the grand ol' late 1980's and 1990's, but I just don't have the taste for'em anymore. At this point in my aging process, I really really like porters and stouts. Problem is, everybody wants to make IPAs these days and porters and stouts not so much.
Oh, well... just leaves more IPAs for you young'uns.

In the craft beer world, IPAs are sort of leveling off in popularity and sours, goses, and brett-yeast based beers are becoming more popular. I love a good stout (might just pop open a Bell's Expedition, now that you mention it), but IPAs will always be my go-to.

True... my young'un LOVES the sours.

I have tried about 10 of the IPA's. I have never had one that I liked. I guess I am just not cut out for the dark beers. I just do the girl beers.
My drink of choice last weekend and probably tomorrow was two fold.
Saturday, I sipped on Makers Mark. On ice, in a glass. No additives.
Sunday, I rinsed the glass out, refilled with ice and poured in some Patron. Sip slowly.
It was a very simple weekend.

Wiregrass Post Prohibition Ale....brewed by Cigar City, pre Prohibition pilsner and an American Ale mix. Pretty good, but may have to hit some Dales to get my hop level up.
ETA - Zing Zang is the shite, I will be enjoying some next weekend prior to the Ole Miss game

Beer is something I had to force myself to like, for sure. I remember drinking Bud Light at 18 thinking that I could barely get it down. Now I drink 100+ IBU IPAs like they're fricking water.
I can't drink Whiskey, though.

Dude I didn't even see the pic you posted...lol. I'm in Dothan, the brewery here, Folklore, mentored under Cigar City before opening, they collaborated on this one. Do you like it?

Very nice. I do like it. Definitely different. Certainly not a hop-bomb like I would have hoped for. CCB does some super clean beers, though, so you gotta love that.

Love JaiLai, but have to treat it with respect. Another good brewery down there is Big Top Brewery, if you see it try it

Just at a jalapeño margarita at Rosie's in Huntsville. Not bad.
