Sonehow Gus Malzahn resurrected the Auburn defense. Yet no one can explain how it happened.

If u had told me after the 2014 season that Kevin Steele would be hired in a few years and make AUs D elite I would have laughed my arse off

I know right. I melted so hard at Legion Field during the bham bowl when the rumor tickled out. 2 years later, he is great.

This defense is in the league with Pat Dye's defenses of the 80's.

No doubt...Holland, Brown (hails from Lanier where my daughter goes), et al are monsters. The secondary...it's awesome...

Yup and if we can let KJ and Bubba heal up good, we can take most teams' manhood and also have a CHANCE to be "MAN ENOUGH to beat Alabama" as that ole sage once famously stated.

We're trending....

WE played that well last night without what could be our best player on defense sitting on the bench. Tre Williams. So much depth at LB

And I will say it for the second week, Tray Matthews is fricking ballin this year.

I will also add Dinson to my list. He has some work to do on his coverage but that dude is fast as shite on the edges and can tackle in space

Yes it is. I was thinking its best defense since Wayne hall was D.C. Very fun to watch. Holland is a beast.

One of the biggest difference imo is how good our D is at tackling now. They rarely are arm tackling. Lot's of swarm tackling, and hard hitting.

Love watching these kids play.

They have been very fast on the edges. Guys are coming up and making one on one tackles on sweep plays and screens....

Yes, the speed is incredible all over the field. Davidson making plays running people down. Coe is looking great. Brown is all he was supposed to be. Fricking Love this defense.

It looked like the crowd played a big part. Wish I could be home.

Come UGA and Bama, our crowd has to show up and be loud. I think MSU had 7 false starts today. Seven bitches! Thank you!

The announcers repeatedly mentioned how loud we were and it obviously affected play.

frick LSU and their crowd. We need to do it right. The booing early on the 4th and 1 shite call Gus made helped him change his mind and resulted in 4 more points. Kudos and big thanks to all ya'll who showed up and made noise. It helped!
