...with stress fracture in left leg, per Bryan Matthews. Not good for someone his size. Stress fractures are a bitch.

Good news: We have new guys that need time. Plus, we play noone of consequence for months.

Bad news: He has to let it heal before attempting any comeback.

This is what I was worried about with the amount of playing he was doing. His bones are just catching up. Putting constant stress on them is asking for issues at his size.

Yea I didn't really think about how much he has been playing. With how fast he grew and how big he is.. He needs to sit his arse on the couch, lift weights, and do some light shooting drills til the season starts.

Stress fractures in big men can be a reocurring issue though . Just look at Greg Oden's career

The silver lining is just that PF/C are the two positions where we have a logjam of talent. We should be able to make it by our OOC schedule without much trouble even without Wiley

Knew something bad was about to happen when I saw Pearl say this was the best AU team in 25 years the other day watching the Barbassol Classic.

He hurt it in the semi-final game and played great in the finals. Like so many injuries it is always hard to know how severe it is. Int this case, I pray he will be fine.
