Did not see this discussed, opening SEC game @ Auburn vs. Tennessee on CBS is huge for the program. Also getting UK at home.

The Tigers will start conference play on CBS with a home match-up against coach Bruce Pearl’s former team, Tennessee.

“Getting CBS in the building for the conference opener is really exciting,” Pearl said. “I like the fact that there are fewer 8 o’clock games. We had a lot of them last year, but the league is very sensitive to trying to accommodate, and because we were heavy on 8 o’clock games last year, they took note of that.”

Home games are in caps and bold, away games lowercase.

Jan 2 - TENNESSEE - 1pm

Jan 5 - SOUTH CAROLINA - 6pm

Jan 9 - Missouri - 8pm

Jan 12 - Vanderbilt - 8pm

Jan 16 - KENTUCKY - 3pm

Jan 19 - ALABAMA - 8pm

Jan 23 - Florida - 7pm

Jan 27 - Ole Miss - 6pm

Feb 2 - LSU - 6pm

Feb 6 - Georgia - 4:30pm

Feb 9 - Tennessee - 6pm

Feb 13 - VANDERBILT - 5pm

Feb 17 - Arkansas - 6pm

Feb 20 - OLE MISS - 4pm

Feb 24 - GEORGIA - 6pm

Feb 27 - Alabama - 4pm

Mar 1 - TEXAS A&M - 8pm

Mar 5 - Mississippi State - 1:30pm

I always assumed Auburn liked 8PM games because it gave out of town fans a chance to get there before tip-off. Auburn isn't exactly near any of the major cities in Alabama.

Damn, when was the last time we played on CBS?

I thought they only carried teams like UK, Kansas, UNC, Duke etc...

Why are we playing AT Vandy in back to back seasons?

Favorable early schedule. At least a 3-0 to start!

On a weekday it doesn't matter what time you start they aren't gonna come unless someone like Kentucky is in town. An 8pm start for Birmingham people means they aren't home til midnight. 8pm for Atlanta means they aren't home til 1 am eastern time.

Same with Florida. Doesn't seem like we've played them at home in awhile.

Ah, I didn't catch that.

We are playing AT Florida in back to back seasons though. We played at Florida in Barbee's last season too (we almost won lol).

Solid point. I forget that Birmingham and Atlanta isn't only an hour away. Especially considering most of the Atlanta folks probably live in the northern burbs

Pearl quote about 8:00pm games. LINK
